Those of you that had your drain out a week or so after surgery... Did anyone seem to be in more pain after they had there drain out.  I don't know if its more pain or just different pain.   It looks good and seems so be healing well. I am having a lot of pain at my drain site. I know it has to heal form the inside out and it is no wear near done heealing.

Erin, Be careful with that area.  You remember Sugar had a massive internal infection at her drain site.  That said, I really only had pain on that side, left, and it lasted quite a few weeks.  Not massive pain, just nagging and achey.  If it gets hot or more intense pain, call your Doctor.  Try the heat pad on it. Its not warm its not red. It sounds like pain that most people with drains have.  No I don't know who surgar is or anything about the infection. I would like to know her symptoms though.  I will email my nurse on Monday just so she is awear but I think she'll tell me it's normal. lol Someone else suggested a heat pack. I will do that.

Call Dr DLT ASAP!  I had that same thing and ended up back in the hospital with a massive infection for almost a week.   Don't mess around with it!!   Good luck and let us know how it goes~ Pam
