I havent rode in the train at the zoo for about 5 years and Im heavier now since the birth of my twins---WELL-----Let me tell you about my most embarrassing time this weekend with the stupid train!! I went with my whole family, my sister and my nephews and my mom, dad and my 3 kids with my husband for a cool weather day at the zoo Saturday--I think I stressed out about the train for a week and praying that I would fit ! Well finally the time came to see if I would fit in the little cart on that dang train--Mind you the twin I had was screaming his head off and making it much more stressed out for me---my whole family got on and i swear 100 other people too and it came down to ME--I put Konor in first screaming bloody murder and to my horror I couldnt get my right leg up the foot and a half to get in---I got an immediate charlie horse in my right hip--even if I wanted to hop in it--they dont give you much head room---then my left knee which has given me problems since my weight gain--tried to lock up on me and then I felt the tears coming--so I had to play it off in front of about 100 people and my family----I knew if it wasnt fo r my hip or knee I still was to wide to fit... So i told my husband that my knee was hurting to much that it tried to lock up on me--so I took my screaming Konor to the train engineer and told him what happened--he said well there is a wheelchair ramp you can use to get on--you just walk right on down to the cart--I was thinking oh WOW--ok I could do that--so I walked up the ramp in front of the whole packed train who was waiting patiently for me to get on----And what a ordeal all this was----he had to lower the w/c ramp down even with the cart---OPEN the top of the cart to let me in !!!!!!!!!!!!!!  All I could do was say a silent prayer to help me past all this embarrassment All I could think of was-----I CANT WAIT TO HAVE MY LAP BAND SURGERY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So we had a pleasant ride on the train thank to the understanding engineer but ohh how embarrassed I was. THEN--------------Johnny on the spot hell!!! If that wasnt bad enough, they had over by the carousel a porta potty, with 3 stalls and a/c in it--WOW , Cool I thought, until I opened the stall door and seen a small toilet in a small space--You gotta be kidding me I thought----but when you gotta go---you gotta go---so I crammed myself in the small stall and had to make sure I didnt urinate on myself for it was that small!!!!  All the time thinking again----I CANT WAIT FOR MY SURGERY!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I swear I felt the porta potty tip some and I prayed it didnt flip backwards with me in it. But I did have a good time with my family---but my surgery cant come soon enough---I can laugh at it now but I just felt like--What else??? I just wanted to include my funny story for all to read. Hope everyone had a good weekend!! And my prayers are out to Mel and everyone else on the board, May God bless each one of you!!! PS  I should get my labs back Monday, and my psych eval should be written up by now--so once I have that I send it to Nancy at Dr Scott's office and send it to the insurance company--Im a little closer now! Amber, I understand what you went through. My friend and I went to Las Vegas a couple of summers ago and tried to ride a roller coaster. We had to get off in front of everyone because the bar that locks across your tummy wouldn't lock because I was too big. Boy did I want to crawl under a rock. Even though I can fit into smaller places now, I still look around -especially at restaurants-to see if there are plus size friendly places to sit . It's sad because a lot of times there are not. Good luck on your surgery. Dannielle
