THANKS FOR THE WARM WELCOME. WE WERE INVITED OUT FOR LUNCH AND ALSO DINNER SO HAVE HAD A BUSY 4TH. THE TUFFYMCGOO YOU ASKED ABOUT EARLIER WAS OUR LATE PUPPYS NAME. I'M PROBABLY THE OLDEST G-GMA ON THE BOARD.  DOES ANYONE KNOW WHETHER THE DRS. WILL ACCEPT YOU IF YOU HAVE BARRETTS ESOPHAGEOUS. I WAS TURNED DOWN IN APRIL FROM DR. RONNIE KEITH IN NORMAN BECAUSE OF IT.  I HAVE SINCE HAD SURGERY, JULY 11TH, FOR IT AND AM HOPING IT WILL FIX IT BUT THEY MAY HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN.  IT ISN'T VERY PLEASANT AND AM STILL NOT HEALED UP. I WENT TO A SEMINAR WITH DR. HITCH**** MARCH 26TH THEN DR. HOEHN APRIL 9TH THEN GAVE NOLA MY PAPERS THE 10TH AND AM STILL WAITING. HAVE RECEIVED 4 CARDS SO GUESS THEY HAVEN'T FORGOTTEN ME.  JUST HOPE AND PRAY THEY WILL ACCEPT ME. SAID THEY HAD SO MANY APPLICATIONS THEY WERE RUNNING BEHIND.  BETTER GET MY MEDS TAKEN AND GET READY FOR BED SOON,  DAR

It will take approximately 3-4 months quite likely to get through the entire process and get your surgery date. It is very thorough, but very worth it. It will prepare you for the procedure and process. Good luck and feel free to contact me if you have any questions or need any help. Scott

SCOTT,  DID YOU HAVE TO SEE THE PSYCIATRIST A BUNCH OF TIMES OR IS THAT SOMETHING NEW.  I'VE BEEN TO 5 SEMINARS AND 1 EACH WITH HITCH**** AND HOEHN AND THOSE 2 DRS. REALLY IMPRESSED ME.  I HAVE TO GO TO A CENTER OF EXCELLENCE AND THEN PAY QUITE A BIT WITH THEM BUT I'M WILLING TO DO THAT IF NEED BE, BECAUSE I REALLY DON'T HAVE A CHOICE.  DAR

I did go to the psychologist 4-5 times. I questioned what that was about when I was going through it, but now that I'm almost one-year post op, I understand why you have to do that I totally agree that it is necessary. Keep in touch and good luck.

I SEE WHERE YOU HAVE LOST 160 LBS.  THATS JUST AWESOME, BET YOU FEEL LIKE A DIFFERENT PERSON. WHEN YOU GO TO THE PSYCIATRIST CAN YOU GO EVERY DAY OR DO YOU HAVE TO SPACE IT OUT OVER MONTHS. WE LIVE OVER 4 HRS. FROM KC SO THAT WILL BE A PROBLEM BUT I WILL SOMEHOW DO IT , JUST WANT THE CHANCE. I PUT MY STORY ON MY PAGE SO EVERYONE KNOWS ALL ABOUT ME NOW.  I NEVER KNOW WHETHER I'M DOING THE RIGHT THING OR NOT.  THANKS FOR THE GREAT WELCOME AND INFO,,,,DAR
