BACK!!

Boy have I missed ya'll bunches!!  We just (bout an hr ago) stepped into mom's house and started on our massive pile of laundry. Our vacation to New Orleans was SO much fun....I really enjoyed it,  but to be honest it wasn't quite what I expected....I'm not sure how, it just wasn't.  But, I still had tons of fun.  We went out to eat at some really nice places and some really not so nice places....I walked at least 4+ miles EVERY single day I was there...yay!!  I went dancing on Bourbon Street, got some beads for dancing w/ one guy :-)   And, now...here it is...July 3.  Only 13 days away from surgery and I just CAN'T believe it...it's almost surreal.  I still don't quite believe I'm actually having the surgery and insurance is going to pay.  I probably won't until surgery morning!!  My preop surgeon visit is on Thursday and they will give me the guidelines for my preop liquid diet...which I will be on for approx. one and a half weeks....should be a chore!  But, it'll be worth it for the end result is surgery and HEALTH!! Tomorrow we are having a barbecue for the 4th and also so the family can see me before I get all stitched up and ouchie.....I'm going to pick up my 2 littlest cousins and babysit for half a day before the bbq so I can see them and hug them since I never get to see them b/c I live in MO!  Speaking of which, I can't WAIT to get to Mo on Friday for a week...and see Jon (my fiance) and all my pets....I'll also be tying up all the final loose ends before surgery and saying goodbye to Jon again :-( for 2 weeks....and more exciting, I get to drive Mom's NEW convertible for the week since mine is getting repairs done!  Yippeeee!! I bought a lot of really cute clothes in New Orleans while on vacation.....more importantly I bought them in sizes that I never dreamed of wearing....and now here I am hoping that someday I'll be able to fit into them.....it's so hard for me to think that I really WILL be able to wear those small sizes....and I just can't imagine myself as a thin person...but we'll see how that goes!! I am praying for you all.....and we need to remember ERIN in our prayers b/c of her difficult times she's going through right now....and also to pray for CHELLE for her struggles w/ head hunger (I'll be there soon girl :-( )... Tomorrow and Thursday I will be responding more to any messages or comments you might have left me but at least wanted to let ya'll know how things were going..... I love ya'll!!!

welcome home sweetie. we have missed you.  I know N.O. is probably way different than it was.  And dancing with a guy was how you got your beads lol I thought you had to flash someone to get them lol Jan

Thanks a bunch!  I was never there **before** but I've heard several stories from mom about how it was then and now...and how different it is.  I had fun though, and got to go on vacation before surgery which was one of the winning points! haha  well you probably should flash them...but I totally wasn't going there ;-)

Welcome back, Baby Girl, Glad you had a great time in NO.  I love it there but haven't been back since Katrina and have heard that there are differences.  You be careful flashing around town in that new convertible.  Keep in touch, we are so anxious for your DAY to be here. Hugs, Lana

Thanks a million :-)  I'm glad to be back and will enjoy being back in Mo for a few days at least!  I will definitely be more in touch now....and I'll try to teach mom to update on the board just in case Erin is not feeling better by then! **hugs**

Glad to see you back girl and even happier you had such a great time. I have a few shirts that my family has bought for me when they went out of town. They would call and say now what size should I get you. I have a 2x and then a 1x and a large!!! If I EVEDR get into a large I think I will have a heart attack!!!!! I haven't seen a large since 6th grade!!!! You think it's actually possible???? We are doing this aren't we??????????????? It's gonna be great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hugs

Hey hey!! :-)  Girl...I DO think you'll be in a Large....I even think you MIGHT be in a medium someday :-O  me too :-O  Holy cow..... Girl, I haven't seen a large...in....well I can't remember the last time....:-( 11 days....amazing.....I just can't believe it!!!  I have my preop visit today in just a few hours....I'm scared...and also am gonna get my preop liquid diet...ugh!!  Not looking forward to that really.....
