~~REUNION INFORMATION and DETAILS~~

Hi Missouri Peeps~ Ive been asked to post about the reunion again as we have a lot of newbies and a lot of people who missed the other posts about it!!

The FIRST ANNUAL MO BOARD REUNION is going to be held the weekend of Sept 7-9, with September 8th (Saturday) being set aside for the day of the reunion-in which we will be doing a potluck lunch/dinner-have an awards ceremony, take pictures, play games (if you want) and just hang out and talk!! THE REUNION IS FOR EVERYONE!!! PRE-OP, POST-OP-and ALL the people you LOVE-are MORE THAN WELCOME!! COME ONE, COME ALL!!!! No matter where you are in your journey-we would LOVE TO MEET YOU ALL!!!! This will be taking place at a resort in West Branson called Green Valley Resort. I will include their website at the end of this post. You can come for the whole weekend (which a lot of us are doing) you can come for one night-OR just for the day-its up to you-IF you come for just the day-it is going to cost you $5 per person-BUT-this gives you all the access to the resorts ammenities that the cabin renters have. They are going to be keeping their pool open for us-it usually closes Labor Day weekend-but they said they would keep it open for us!! They have boat/pontoon/water craft rentals, they have 2 swimming docks-they have a hot tub, they have a BBQ pit where we can all gather around, they have a central meeting area in the middle of the resort, which has a volleyball/badmitton net, play ground, horseshoes, shuffle board and so on. WE will be allowed to move our tables and chairs together and eat together-we just have to return everything where it belongs when we are done. With that being said-IF you are just coming for the day-you WILL need to bring your own chairs for recreation-also-we are all making one dish to share at the potluck-with the recipe for that dish to be put by your dish should someone want a copy of it-and IF you will send the recipe to me-written out or typed, I will make ALL the copies and have it at the reunion for you. Susan is bringing a tent so that we will be covered in case of rain......there are some other things we are doing, but I will post about that later-just wanted to get on and give the details of that reunion weekend. Each person is responsible for renting their own cabins-sending in their deposits and such. WE ARE NOT SAYING REUNION when we call to make our reservations-as this would cause our deposits to be sky high-so this is the reason we are doing it this way. This is an off season and so the prices are very reasonable-and they are not in a hectic part of Branson-and so they rely a lot on reservations solely. A lot of people are sharing cabins-and splitting prices as well-since the cabins are all 2 bedrooms on up. So-if you know of someone you would like to share a cabin with-you could even get it cheaper.

The website with all the info is www.greenvalleyresort.com  when you call them, give them the dates you want to stay and then just make sure what the internet says is what they give you price wise for the deposit-they got ours mixed up for the in season and so we had to call them back-but they were very nice about it-so just keep that in mind when calling.
