31 days until my appeal is up.

I was just wondering if any of you have any tips on how to write an appeal letter.  I am getting a full copy of my records and going to pull any last piece of info I can find to send to them.  I now meet the weight requirements and are now having to take high powered pain medicine for my hip and my pcm has put in a referral for physical therapy for my hip and if that doesn't work then she is sending me to an ortho dr and i am afraid they are going to a hip replacement on me.  I am 29!!!!  I know that if I had this surgery and lost some of this weight that I wouldn't be in so much pain.   any way if any of you have any thoughts please let me know.  I really appreciate it .  Hugs, Layla

Hi!  There are several examples of appeal letters out on the internet.  If you do a Google search you will get several.  Here is a link to a few: http://www.mygastricbypass.com/appeals.htm I hope you can get this surgery because you are way too young for a total hip.  I have had a total knee that was infected with Staph that failed and that leg is now fused and useless.  I also had a total knee on the left but because of my weight it has failed.  This is one of the many reasons I'm taking this journey. Layla ,the company I use to work for denied my wife, when I appealed I not only used Dr. reports I had Chiroprators dentist and  friends write letters.  I had the friends tell about  how much my wife couldn,t do any more. The bone Popper Wrote how the adjustments he was doing wouldn,t stay be cause of weight issuse. Use every resourse you can. If you work Or past jobs ask a co worker to write a small paragraph. Don,t play fair use every means you can to  This is what worked for us. I hope this helps  Make sure you tell them about the possible replacments.Add as much documentation has possible.
