Rebirth Day

I wanted to let you all know that today is my re-birthday and it is glorious. I don't regret in any way, shape or form the decision to have this surgery. Depending on what scale I use, I have lost between 155-160 pounds. I met with my surgeon yesterday for my one-year check-up and all of my co-morbities are gone and he gave me a big thumbs up. I would like to lose an additional 12-20 pounds and get down below 250 pounds which I haven't seen since my freshman year in high school over 30 years ago. For those of you who are either just beginning your journey or are contemplating the journey, please continue to do so in order to regain your life. I'm convinced if you do what the doctor says and follow their instructions, you will have no problems which I haven't had. I've not dumped or upchucked one time in the past 12 months. Hang in there you all and have a toast with your protein drink for me tonight!!! Scott

Scott, CONGRATS on your re-birthday and having such a successful experience and beign such a good patient....no dumping etc....that says alot about your will to use this second chance you've been given to the best of your ability. I'm saddened to see post-ops who aren't able to take that step, I don't think it's always that they aren't willing but that tehy aren't able.  But maybe if more had the proper support systmens they'd find that road a bit less challenging to stay on.

Keep up the good work!
