I am 7 months out and haven't lost any weight for 6 weeks.  I drink my water, walk everyday, get my protein in.  What I am concerned about is that I eat too much!  I STOP at 1 cup per meal but could keep eating.  I am hungry all of the time.  2 bad habits I have picked up, nuts and an occasional snack. How much do you eat, and do you snack! I had Rouen-y and have lost 75 pds, 20 pds to goal.

At one our our support group meetings they discussed people having similar problems to what you described.  Their advice was to document what they were eating for a few days - not just the protein  but the calories.  A good rule dieting is to multiply the weight you want to be times 11, so for example if you want to be 140 pounds you can't consume more than 1540 calories.  They also said we should stick to the three meals a day and no snacking between meals.  There were some who were counting their protein only and the protein choices they selected were high fat or calorie and defeating their weight loss.    Do you chew gum?  Nancy at DePaul warned us not to chew gum as that would trigger hunger. I feel your pain, i hope something I've said helps.

I eat around 2 or 3 oz of meat at a time then if I still want someyhing I will eat a slice of tomatoes or cucumber or any veggy. sometimes I have a snack and sometimes i dont. I use the protein vials to make sure I get plenty of protein, I dont like the protein drinks so I buy the vials.. also I fix a large box of sf jello in either the lemon or orange and dont use all the water it calls for, I use the cup of ho****er than put some ice in it to cool it down, and lowfat cottage cheese in the blender and blend, then put it in the frig. until set.  I sprinkle a little nut in it when I serve it . it really satisfies me. I can use it for a meal or snack about 1/2 cup..  I hope this helps , ...vesta

Here is what the guidelines DePaul gives out.... Women should have 60 grams of protein daily. Strive for 20 grams of protein for a full serving.  The amount of protein should be at least twice as the amount of carbohydrates.  For example, a supplement with 20 grams of protein should have no more than 10 grams of carbs.   After that you can supplement with your veggies/fruit, assuming you are still hungry.   But you don't want you to stretch your pouch, they were saying you start with 1/4 cup and work up to 1 cup total per meal.
