KC area anyone?

Hey....I see a lot of people in here from the Springfield area...and some smaller communities that I'm not real sure where they are...was just wondering if there was anyone in here from the KC area?

Laura i cant name them by name right now but yes there are a lot of KC people on here. Hey KC people give a holler to Laura. lol  Welcome to the Mo. Board great to have you online and hope you dont hold it against us if we are from somewhere other than KC.

Welcome Laura. I am from KC and am 53 week post op. Feel free to ask any questions you might have. Also, there is a KC Support Group that meets on the fourth Monday of the month in Lee's Summit at 291/470 & Woods Chapel. It is run by Colette who you will see posting on here. She lives in Concordia, MO which is just east of KC. If you look at the old posts, you'll see a reminder from her about the July meeting. Hi, welcome, i am not from KC but Topeka, KS, have you already had surgery or just waiting like me.  Still going thru paperwork, but just went to seminar in shawnee mission and topeka. smilingone

HI AMY, WAS WONDERING HOW YOU LIKED THE SEMINAR AT TOPEKA. WHO ARE THE SURGEONS THERE. I AM WONDERING WHETHER THEY HAVE AN AGE LIMIT. I KNOW ONE DR. WHOSE NAME STARTED WITH A B HAD A LIMIT. I STILL HAVEN'T HEARD A THING, I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHETHER THE INS. GAVE THE OK.  HOPE YOU'RE HAVING SOME LUCK SOMEWHERE.   DAR

Hi Dar, the topeka seminar was a little more structured than KC, but they do have five or six dr.'s that perform these surgeries, I never heard they had an age limit, they talked about it a little but never said there was a limit.  Do you want me to find out? I have submitted my paperwork to 3 places, so expect to hear something soon.    Amy

Laura, I'm actually from Overland Park, KS.  I post on the MO board because I really enjoy this board and adore the people that post here.  They all welcome me even though I'm actually in Kansas!  If you can come to the support group in Lees Summit on Mon. night that would be great it's a good group of people no matter where you are in your journey everyone is welcome so come and join in.
