I want to thank everyone for their prayers and support.  It's been a rough weekend all around..  I think I know why the surgeons won't take my case and if they would have said more than they don't think I would survive the surgery, I probably would not like what they said but I would understand it more. If you run a search on previoius surgical staph infections and gastric bypass, there are hundreds of pages of medical literature stating that it was to big of a risk to undergo gastric bypass if a patient had previous surgical-related staph.  Why didn't they tell me that?  Our weekend might not have been so rough. I still plan to talk with someone about those risks but more importantly I plan to get a plan going on how I'm going to lose this weight and keep it off. Tammy, would you email me a bit about the protein diet you were on prior to surgery?  Thanks!  Weather permitting I'm resuming my water aerobics and hopefully my knees will get stronger.so I can finally walk, even if it's only 3 or 4 steps.   Keep me in your prayers and I'll let you know as things progress.
