Home and doing fine!

I had my lap rny surgery on Tuesday, the 24th and came home the next day.  I was (and still am) 13 pounds heavier the day after surgery though.  I am sure this is due to the surgery and the fluid I am retaining.  Has this happened to anyone else.?

yes almost everyone i know of comes home heavier than they went to the hospital. and you are right it is from all the IVs they push and all. It wiill come off. Good to see you are doing well and be sure and come back often and let us know how you are doing also if you have any problems we can maybe point you in the right direction.   Jan

Hi there, First of all, congrats on the beginning of your new life!! How exciting! I hope you will come back often and be a part of our great big MO Board family!! This site is awesome!! About the weight gain-perfectly normal and it will start coming off really fast-and continue!! One thing that will definitely help is drinking (sipping****il you dont think you can possibly drink anything else-and then drink some more-the more you push, the more it starts working its way out-if you know what I mean!!
