The bomb scare...
What a day!! David is home and fine! Oh and so is his Harley!....lol
I called David before the mammo to let him know the biopsy surgeon's office had called with my appts so he can schedule some vacation time around those dates.
While on the phone with him, he let me know that they we're being evacuated because of a bomb threat to his job but that he was okay...thank you Lord!!
When I got out from getting my mammo I went straight to walmart to pick up a few things. I had flea powder on the floor at home so I was trying to stay away from the house so I stayed and browsed at the store.
I guess David had been trying to call me at home and via my cell. I wasn't at home and my phone was on silent due to me being at the hospital for my mammo and I forgot to change it.
They had told everyone to go home because a suspicious package was found. This was about eleven but they wouldn't let anyone go to their cars (or motorcycles). David needed a ride but couldn't get ahold of me. A friend gave him a ride and we are very thankful for him! David thought I was here playing on the computer and he wasn't able to get through.
When I was done at walmart I happen to check my phone and I had 3 missed calls....ooops!
After some confusion we got it figured out that by the time they were released, him trying to get ahold of me and getting the ride home, I was still getting my mammo.
After I got home and we traded stories of the day we decided to go back up and try to get David's bike. Unfortunately, the police were still there so we went across the street and saw a movie. By the time it was over, we were able to go onto his job's property so he could change, get his helmet and bike. I then followed him home!
It's nice to be homed even though I STILL have flea powder all over my house!!....lol
You'd think that, that nasty old satan is trying to get my attention or something! It ain't happening!!
Oh, forgot to mention...my daughter got wind of the bomb threat through her new job. She was calling our home and both cell phones wanting to know if Dad was okay AND if I was gonna be able to watch her kids next week!....lol
Terrible thing was...when I saw that she had called...well, it was during the movie...I had to go potty. I didn't call her bac****il after the movie. Hey, I was in a hurry to get back and I knew if I called her right then I would not of got to see the ending. I figured she could wait a few more minutes!
Love & Prayers to all....Deb M
