Physc Eval

Do anyone know where I could have my physc eval done, some where in the vicinity of columbia or KC. The University gave me a couple of names but 1 was almost 500.00. Forget that!!!  There was a Dr Halensten or something like that. Does anyone know anything about this dr. Any info will be helpful. When I called medicaid they told me they won't pay for the physc eval or the nut.  Guess I will call that Halensten Monday and see what they charge. The train is slowing starting to move..YEA!!!!!!!!

Hey girl, If your talking about Dr. Nancy Halstenson, she has had the surgery herself. She looks fantastic too! She came to our 1/2 day nutrition class. I am not sure what her fee is though. I went to Dr. Peter Holmes, who was excellent with my eval. He cost $215.00 in Feb. of this year. His number is: (573) 875-0077. He is really easy to get into, too. I got in within a few days. I know it costs a lot to do the psyc eval and the 1/2 day nutrition class, but it is worth it. I figured I would be saving money by going to the 1/2 day class as opposed to getting the requirements at different times. I t would probably cost more in the long run, especially with gas prices the way they are. This way, you can get everything out of the way all at once (at least the requirements that are covered in the 1/2 day class). I had a couple of yard sales and came up with the money to cover both of these.  Good luck on your journey. Elisa Thank you for the info. I will start calling Monday and see if I can get in somewhere. The Columbia office gave me several names. With $500 being the highest. Can't afford that..I am going to take the class they have also. Think that will be the cheapest and I will know I get everything they require in one shot...
