4 days and counting down

Hello all, My surgery is Wednesday.  it is amazing that i am so calm.  I have been trying to get this surgery for 5 years.  I may lose my job over it but at least I will get my surgery.  As you know I am having employer problems.. I consulted an attorney and they basically said that my job can discriminate against fat people.  They cannot discriminate against race, creed or gender.  That Sucks..  Oh, well  I am getting my wish and hopefully I can get back to living life the way it should be.  Oh, anyone want to tell me how they decide how much weight you will lose.  I would love to lose exactly 120 lbs.  I am at 254 right now.  Anyway.. Thought I would stop by and say hello..  Karen

Karen...Way to go girl!!!! I am sorry you might loose your job and that they seem so insinsitive to such a health issue!! But I am so happy for you that you decided you were worth going on with it all!!! I wish you all the best and will be praying for you!!!  Hang in there it wont take long at all for 4 days to pass!! 3 more days now girl...it is exciting isnt it?  You know if they fire you because you had surgery i really think you could win if it went to court. I know what that lawyer said and it might be a landmark case . You might be able to convince some lawyer to take the case per bono for the advertisment it might give him and be written up in law books. Because people do discriminate aganist fat people and it is just as wrong as discriminating against someone because of race.  Anyway we are all pulling for you. and there will be other jobs and if you dont have the surgery there might not be another chance at life for you. Hi Karen!   Wednesday will be here before you know it.  It took you 5 years!!??!!  I've been working on my surgery since January and thought that was bad. I'll be thinking of you on Wednesday, take care and let us know how it goes. Trudy
