Nerve Ablation
Hi all Well I am back from Columbia. Boy was it hot and you would know my air in the car had to quit working. Its always something. I had the nerves in my back burned but the doc said it would take about a week for the relief to really begin. Right now since I have the pain medicine in there it is pain free, thank you Lord...What they do is put the needles in your back and then put pain meds in there (of course they numb it up first before putting the needles in.) Then they test your nerves to make sure they don't get the one running down your leg. They tell you when they are going to test your nerves and it is like a little tingling feeling, (not painful.) and then you feel a little thumping(again no pain) you tell them when you are feeling the tingleing and the thumping and they ask if I could feel it in my leg, (no I didn't). Then they turn the heat on for 1 1/2 minutes on each nerve (I had 4 done 2 on each side..)I have to say Dr Street is wonderful. He really knows his business..He said I may have some pain tomorrow and to put ice on it. That is about all there was to it. I will let you know how I am doing in a couple of days. Feel like I could dance a jig right now haha.... I took all my paperwork over to Mo Bariatics while I was in Columbia, that way I know they got it. They said they hadn't got my dr referral or my lab reports so I called my doc and ask him to send them asap... Janet I am so sorry that you are going thru all your drama, kids seem to thrive on it. I have had my share and it was nerve wracking while it was happening but all mine seemed to have turned out alright. You just have to let her know that you have the power, at least for right now. I think the hardest part of being a parent is letting go of them even when they turn of age. Hope everyone is doing good. I'll update and let you know how my back is doing...
