wohooo, kinda hard to believe it really is over...I made it thru no probs at all, having no probs with liquids, my oxycodone did make me sick once and that was NO FUN...dry heaving so soon after surgery OUCH...but Im doing great, drinking my 6oz an hour and the apple nectar rocks! and so do coconut popsicles..yum....why don't I feel totally stuffed though...cuz I don't..hope my pouch is small enough..I did try one tiny bite of jello and it was a big OH GROSS moment...so that is out...I'm happy with liquids....anyways Im home, i'm well and thanks to all who sent me messages and kept my place on the bench warm!! Can't believe I'm finally a loser! Kim M. RNY 8-7-07

Kim so glad you are home and doing well. How is it taking care of the babies. dont over do this first few weeks.rest as often as you feel like it. the reason you dont have any feeling in the tummy yet is because it is healing, It has to develope its own set of sensors i guess you would say. just do as you were told to do and everything will be ok. gettin ing the water and fluid intake is the most important thing you can do right now. protein when your doctor says you can go back on it. which should be at week two more than likely. then you can start trying to build up the amount you are suppoose to have.   good luck and glad that you have you seat on the bench filled now.  Jan

Glad you are home and doing well!  Keep us posted!  It is interesting to watch your RNY experience so close to my band experience.  I ate chicken all day yesterday since Dr. Edwards said I could have solid food!  It was great to be able to CHEW!!!  I chewed and chewed and chewed...made my jaw hurt I chewed so much but it was such a wonderful thing after drinking everything for so long!   I will chew a piece of chicken in your honor tonight!   Be well Kim!
