Hi Everyone,  I was just curious how long it took to get through the process at DePaul.  I finally got my class for surgery on Sept 14th and found out Friday that I now have to fly out to California for work on that same day so now I will have to reschedule it.  I got that appointment about 3 weeks ago so it was going to be a 9 week wait for the class and then another 4-8 weeks for the surgery.  I was just wandering how long it took everyone else and what kind of set back I will have to face now. (does anyone know how often they have the classes?) I was so excited and still am just a bit concerned at how long it may take to get through the process.  Thanks again. At the last support meeting Nancy mentioned that August and September were hectic for her scheduling because the doctors were going to alot of conferences and doing mission work during this period. As someone who had to reschedule my surgery I can tell you from personal experience Nancy does seem to take into consideration your position and will work to find a place to 'slide' you in and not simply make you go to the back of the line.  Keep in mind that there are others who have similar problems with insurance, health or schedule and that leaves 'holes' that need to be filled.    Overall, this is the price for wanting to have the best surgeon's work on you.  I'm only 4 days out and feeling great - much of which I attribute to the skill of Dr. de la Torre. Good luck Keena.

I can't thank you enough Tammy for taking the time to answer my posts.  I cannot tell you how much I appreciate it.  I plan on calling Nancy first thing in the morning.  I am hopeful Nancy has been wonderful each and everytime I have spoken to her.  I guess I am just a bit of a worry wart. ha ha I cannot agree with you enough about wanting the best.  I have heard nothing but good about Dr Scott and De la Torre and will wait as long as it takes to have them on my side.  It is wonderful that you are doing so great at 4 days out.  I wish you complete and utter success in your journey.   Thanks Again Tammy

Hi there! I just had surgery on August 6th with Dr Scott. Dr. De la Torre assisted, so I was in good hands. I know about having to reschedule, only it was their office, not me! I had an extra six weeks to wait due to Dr Scott being out of the office the day I was scheduled, but it is over and I am grateful! Hang in there. Time goes by quickly! Best wishes! LaNeta
