We have one of the lil pools from Wal Mart that you air the ring up and then just fill it up.... We had it on the southern side of our house and kept having problems with it getting green.....So after we treated it and it didn't help we moved it to the back yard.. It wasn't up 2 weeks and it was green again, not matter what we done to it...So Joe drained it, cleaned it and filled it again....And it's green again...we were in it one day and it was fine and then the next day it was green!! At first we had the chlorine tabs in the floater and used shock it in it....didn't help so a friend told me all she used in hers was the chlorine tabs and muratic acid (sp) and she never had any problems with hers... and if there was a big storm or heavy wind she added shock it... Well I got some of the muratic acid and we used it and I thought it was going to do good....but after aprox 1 1/2 weeks it just up and turned green! We make sure we rotate our filters daily or every other day so I don't think it's that...And we do have a few small tree limbs that hang over it a bit ...but don't know why that would make it fine one day and green the next! Then someone told me today they were told they had that problem because theres was near power lines....Sounded kinda weird to me but if anyone else has heard this let me know lol lol..... I am beginning to wonder if our neighbor isn't putting something in it lol lol lol.....They have always been really nice in the almost 2 years we have lived here and they haven't said anything to us about the pool but who knows! Anyways if you know of anything we might try let me know.....And I have even used alge stuff in it as well! We are at a loss but getting tired of cleaning it out and refiling it every 10 days or so.... I have a friend that has one exactly like mine and all they use is the chlorine tabs and they put in shock it once a week and keep the filter chanded like we do and they have not had one problem with theirs and haven't had to change the water once in it.... So HELP..If Joe has to redo the whole thing again after this weekend he might kill it lmbo!!! And I wuv my pool even if it is a dinky one lol lol....Thanks..Tammy~ammy

tammy do you have a pool testing kit? do you use it every day? according to what the test says you may need to add something daily to it. I did mine. one day this and the next day it may need more of that and so forth . sounds like it is getting too much of something dont know what tho. :LOL. not a real good one on this. but the pool testing kit is an excellent thing to have on hand.

Hi Tammy, If I were you I'd take a sample of your water (put some in a jar or zip lock bag) and take it to a pool supply place and have them test the water.  This is a free service and they will tell you exactly what you need to do. I have friends who use a chemical system called 'Snap.'  But before wasting any money get tha****er tested. BobM.

TAMMY~AMMY, Hello there girl hope everything else is going good with your grandaughter.  The thing about taking your water to the pool place is a great idea and they are right it is free.  We had our above ground down for like 4wks trying to find out what was going on last month with it.  Steve is really good about taking care of it and keeping it crystal clear but we got this brown algee in it and no matter what we used it would not come clean.  It was a special kind of algee cleaner and it was alot more than regular algee killer but within 1 week it was totally clear.  If you dont figure out your problem let me know and I will get the name of the stuff he used.  I think it was around $50.00 for this bottle of stuff but it was worth it for us because of not being able to drain it because of its size.  I know its almost the end of the year but you may want it for next year too.  Let me know. Love  Susan
