Paying for surgery

Hello!  Long time no talk....  We are finally moved in I have a question for anyone who had to pay out of pocket.  I cannot get a loan because I do not have good credit history, my insurance will not pay for it, I have contacted all our state representatives asking for help, and I do not have any family members that can loan me the money... Has anyone done anything creative to pay for their surgery?  I was thinking I could treat myself like a racecar and have lots of these advertisements on this website sewn onto a coat I wear, or I could have a big fund-raiser like people who have cancer, or lose a limb... I am really to the point of desperation here.  Any suggestions or thoughts????

I hope this helps but have you tried Vochational Rehab?  If this surgery will improve your ability to work or keep you working they will pay for your surgery.  I know a lady right now who was told to check out Voch. Rehab and so she did and they told her they would pay for her surgery especially if you have co-morbities.  Good luck and keep us informed.

Thank you for the information!  I am checking into it.  Here is the website that talks about Missouri's Vocational Rehabilitation policy....so I am gonna look into it!  SOUNDS POSSIBLE :) http://www.dss.mo.gov/fsd/rsb/manual/vrman/propolman/propol_ physicresto.htm
