~REUNION~Details and info~

Hi everyone, Here is a recap of the reunion details and info. If something isnt answered OR you have any other questions-PLEASE feel free to post or email me. Thanks. 1. Who is the reunion for? The reunion is for EVERYONE-no matter where you are in your journey, AND for anyone you want to bring with you. 2. Where is the reunion being held? The reunion is being held at Green Valley Resort in Branson West, MO.....Their website is www.greenvalleyresort.com 3. When is the reunion?  The day set aside for the reunion is September 8th. Some are coming for the whole weekend, some just for the day. The potluck lunch will start at 11 am. 4. What is the cost? The cost is dependant on what you choose to do-some are renting cabins just for one night, some for two-and some for more than that. You are more than welcome to come JUST FOR THE DAY-and if you choose to do that-the cost will be $5.00 per person to cover insurance/liability. 5. What do I need to bring? If you are coming for the day-you will need to bring your potluck dish to share with everyone, your meat for grilling, chairs to sit on, eating utensils and such, and towels for the pool and/or water activities. 6. What is there to do? Whether your renting a cabin OR staying for the day, we will all have the same access to the same ammenities. They are all listed on the website-but there is a solar heated pool, hot tub, 2 swimming docks, fishing docks, water rentals-boats etc, there is a badmitton/volleyball area, playground, horseshoes, shuffle board, and firepit. IF you will need your potluck dish plugged in or stored-there are enough of us renting cabins that I am sure someone would be more than happy to accomodate that need for you. 7. Is the group doing any special activities? We are, we will be playing the "white elephant" gift exchange (for the adults only-IF you want to participate-you MUST bring a wrapped gift-as close to $5 as possible), we will have a guess who game, a couple of prizes to raffle, water balloon toss for kids and adults alike, a pinata for the kids, and then there will be time to just talk and get to know each other. We are still working on a couple more things-will post about it later.  For those staying later into the evening-we will more than likely sit around the firepit and talk. **There are directions listed on the website. IF YOU GOOGLE the address-it has come to our attention that google has the WRONG town associated with the zip code (they have Reeds Springs and IT IS Branson West)-so it would be easiest to get on the resorts website and print out their directions. If you can get to Springfield-they have directions from Springfield.  **I will be sending out another post this week about our potluck dishes-and so you can sign up for it at that time. **There will be a post sent out about children attending as well, as our goal is to have a prize for EACH CHILD attending-and we dont want to be short any prizes, so IF you could let us know how many children you MIGHT bring-I would rather have too many things than not enough. You have done a great job!!! We just had our annual family reunion in which I am in charge of and I know how much work it is. I really appreciate everything you have done!!!! What age are you calling the kids games? I have a 14 year old grand daughter that is coming and wonder where she will fit in. Kids or adults? Again Thanks!!!

Dear Barbra, She would be a "tween" LOL....No, for the reunion day, she will be a kid. The white elephant is going to be adults only and we are doing a water balloon toss, pinata and maybe a two legged race or gunny sack (sp?) race for the kids and tweens. I just want to make sure that we have enough prizes for the kids AND appropriate ones-as Im sure your grand-daughter wouldnt want the same prize a two yr old would want-LOL....So-Im thinking things like journals or nail polishes-stuff like that for the tweens.  Thanks and cant wait to see you there!  Janet
