How do I put a fire under my psychs butt???

Hey OH Board,       Just wondering how to get my psych to write up the evaluation, so I can get my paperwork done. He's had 2 weeks now. My pcp (Bless his heart) has sent the report, plus I needed him to write up a more detailed 6 mo. report and he not only called at the end of the day (last Mon.) ,but he called me yesterday saying it was ready and I could go pick it up and it's a great letter. I left a message on the psychs phone (nice message) but I haven't heard from him yet. It's not like he doesn't know me cause he talks to my 14 yr. old on his ADHD issues.  Wait ........ Maybe I'm a nut and he doesn't know how to tell me!!!LOL  Connie

Connie, When I recently had my psych eval. it took a few weeks too.  I had to meet with the psych. dr. and then I had to take the MMPI test and then he had to score that and write up the evaluation.  I think if you keep calling and stress how important this surgery is to you he will get on the ball and send in the report.   I know I had to stress to my dr. how important this was to me and that I needed him to send in the report asap so I could get an appt. with the surgeon.  Good luck on your journey and I hope all goes well for you.

 OMG!!!! I got the same problem. My pysch doc is doing the same thing!!!! I thought I only had this problem. I had mine done on the 1st of Aug and I had my consult done for wls on the 14th now the nurse even called her for the results and I called and was told she was on vacation until today. So you know i was wondering  did i not stress how important this was and how in the world do you just leave your patients hanging like that. the Receptionist took my message and i would have thought she would have at least called me back today but guess what i didn't hear anything. Sad...Just sad.....

 Yea, you would think they would have the courtesy to say somethin' but I guess when you make the big bucks we don't much deserve courtesy.....  Connie

Hey Connie-- I had the same issue, I waited for five and a half weeks for my report to be faxed to my surgeons office. After being told it usually only takes them TWO weeks. So near the end of those five weeks I had basically totally lost my patience.
