embarrassing moment

I started back to work and school last week and things have been crazy. I did have an embarrassing moment in one of my classes. I am on the hefty size. Hello. As I walked into my class all I saw was these high schools sized chairs. I tried to sit in one and I would not fit. One guy who was on the hefty size too showed me how to raise the top of the desk out of the way so at least I couldbe a little more  comfortable. Needless to say I walk over to the office of the school and asked if they were discriminating against fat people. She said no and I was shown a place where I could sit comfortably in front of the class. Hello, now I fell like a freak display. I just want to be like the other students. Not sitting in the front of the class being stared at. What should I do?  Jane
