I am down 25.5 since 8/15
Hello everyone!!
Just a quick update. I went to my one week post op appointment yesterday. I was 307 at my start of the liquid diet, 288 day of surgery, and yesterday the scale says I am 281.5. OMgoodness!! That is a great start.
They also took out the drain and staples. They should have taken the staples out first cause when they tried to pull out the drain, it got caught on a staple and got stuck. It hurt so bad, I almost jumped off the table. After that pain the staples were a breeze. LOL the appointment was over before I could blink and I go back on the 25th for my next check up. Poeple come and go so quickly here, to quote Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz.
I have been doing ok otherwise. I noticed I have gotten weepy for no reason and start to cry for the stupidest reasons. I assume it is from the surgery cause I am so NOT like that normally. I soppose the rain an gloomyness doesn't help either.
Anyway, I started exercising a few days ago taking it slow and easy. I posted about getting that dance game at the Christian book store on Labor day, right? Well that is what have been doing and it is fun. I am staying on easy level for now so I don't do too fast or jumping around but I can't wait to see what the next level is like. LOL
Well, i know you all are getting ready for the get to gether. Maybe next year I will get to come. MY husband I love Branson. We took our mini honeymoon there.
Hugs and prayers,
Rebecca

Don't stress over the weepiness - our bodies are going through all kinds of hormone changes and that is the reason for it. They say it levels out in a couple months - I sure am hoping for that at least. It actually feels like PMS to me, weepy one moment and a crabt the next. Once someone reminded me about the hormone stuff I have chosen to watch my tongue at work and home until all of this mellows out. I worry about you doing exercise so early, simply because I got a call from my insurance company nurse and she was worried about me doing some simple weeding in my yard that used on my arm strength. If you recall Nancy said not to even vacuum for a while - that although the outside is healed the inside isn't. Take Care Girl!
