OMG...OMG...OMG....I have a surgery date to get my hip replaced!!!! It's October 22 . I am so excited that I almost cried in the doctors office.   He told me that actually both my hips are bad, but he said if the left one is not bothering me than we won't bother it!  He may have to break my thigh bone to get my leg straight again, it bows out due to the displasia(bone loss).  He also informed me that my knees are horrible...duh...I knew that...anyway he said that my knees would probably be worse than the hip to replace.   But I DON"T CARE...I am so ready for this!!!    Thanks for letting me share. I wll keep you posted.

Surgery Wt. 550lbs.
Current Wt.  179lbs
Total lost = 371 pounds

Life is too short to wake up with regrets.
So love the people who treat you right..
Forget about the one's who don't.
Believe everything happens for a reason.
If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.

If it changes your life, let it.
Nobody said life would be easy,

they just promised it would be worth it.

Julie,   I am so happy you are going to have the surgery.  It was in 2001 that I had my surgery done.  It was so easy.  I was in the hospital 5 days and well worth it, as the pain was no longer there. What a difference when the pain is gone.  If you have any questions please contact me.  Colette

Oh my gosh,  thanks for the replys.  Its good to hear that people have had positive results with this surgery. I have to admit, I am more nervous about this surgery than I was the lower body lift and thigh lift.    Take care, Julie
