Update on my infection

Well ..I went to the doc...I have an infection..but he said its not too deep...he opened up the incision around the port and I have to clean it and pack it...It totally gross's me out! But I can do it...he said that if the infection doesn't clear up that he may have to take the band out...not cool!! Well..just pray its okay...I know I am.  Love, Stacy

Did it hurt when he opened it?  The nurse had to catherize mine and I thought it was so weird that I couldn't feel anything around it.  I know that if you clean it and pack it like he showed you that it will heal up just fine.  Keep us updated.

I am grossed out yet I want to see it!!  LOL   I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers that it heals and you don't have to have it taken out.  That would just SUCK!!!!    If he has to take it out, did he say he could put it back in at a later date.   Will pray for you that all heals well!  Keep us updated!   Jennifer

Sooo sorry to hear about your infection.  I hope you feel better soon and I will be hoping for the best for you.

It was uncomfortable but it didn't hurt to terribly bad! lol...I'm sure it will be fine....I'm cleaning it as directed and taking my antibiotics....he did tell me if all went well I could have my fill on October 9th! I'll take a picture if you want to see it...lol...it's not that bad...but it is gross to stick a sterile cotton swab in it! :) Love, Stacy
