I start my pre op liquid diet on October 5th---and I have been doing research on what types of this and that to get....worrying what if I dont like this etc Well to get ready and have everything I need--i went and bought a few things and wanted to share what I found I liked---- Looking around and seeing the price on protein drinks sent me into a tizzy---SO-I bought from Wally world---The Whey powder protein (vanilla flavor) in the big jug for 12.99  1 scoop=23 gms of protein I also bought from Aldi's-- Fit and Active Sugar Free Lemonade--1 little tub makes 2 qts made w/ aspartame (Im funny about how Splenda tastes   LOL) It comes 6 little tubs in a thing for $1.50ish Well i made the powder protein into a milk shake with skim milk and it was actually pretty dang good!!!  And I made the SF Lemonade and I was surprised but it too tasted good.  this to me is cheaper than buying the ready to drink shakes, 4 drinks for almost $6 and you need 3 shakes a day to equal your 60+ gms of protein you need---so the powder was to me--way cheaper and would last longer. So I just wanted to share what I found and liked and give you some prices in case you were searching for different ways to get your protein in the first week or so--- TTFN Amber

Amber, Good for you.  You have already learned an important lesson, experiment and try everything you can.  I love Splenda - aren't we all different?  Carry it in my purse in case someone doesn't have it on the table.  But that's why they have different kinds - never could stand Sweet N Low but used to like Equal.   I have used the powder  - have had some from Sam's Club and have Unjury.  I usually use the bullets now.  They are $3 each but I only use one a day now because I'm 9 months out and get most of my protein from food.  In fact I don't have to have one every day. I wish you great success - know you'll do great. Hugs, Lana
