HELP!!!!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!  I need some clues here about the protien shakes and all I have done the carnation instant breakfast and well personally tehre isnt enough protien there to do doodly for ya... I bought the unjury chicken soup and the unjury chocolate and well  I need some help its getting to where I can not tolerate them anymore....some other ways to make them>?????? some other decent ones ???????????? please help

I am with you in your frustration.....I mixed my protien powder into the sf carnation. and I couldnt tolerate it.  I have a morning protien shake I can make myself drink one a day....I make my scoops heaping so that Ill get just a bit more protien because I know how much Im going to hate drinking it.   I wish I had ANY suggestion for you...my next try is to mix a scoop of protien powder into a can of tomato soup. make it thiner and drink it. the sweet taste is getting to me.....I am NOT a sweet eater. I like the on occasion....used to be once a month but since the hysterectomy last yr that is gone now. so drinking a sweet  shake once a day is kicking my butt!  HELP US!  I find myself wanting veggies...celery carrot and tomatos...ummmm I have ALWAYS hated tomatos??   how was the chicken soup stuff?? Ive heard of it but didnt want to spend my moola on an unknown.  but Im interrested in knowing if it was ok....I used to make a mock chicken loaf for the kids....a meatloaf that taste like chicken....I gotta find the recipee and try it...hey anyone...how does meatloaf fit into the diet program? yes or no?

I have been getting extra protien from beef jerky...the toughness makes you chew chew chew and I get the chunks which are 2 bites in one.  I have been buying them in the small pkgs and try to eat one a day. and I have some protien bars....but again back to the sweet thing...but I eat half of one in the am and one at night when Im on the computer. Im no way getting whatever is recomended but Im working on it....oh and I bought the chunk cheese and eat 2 or 3 oz for a snack when I remember its in there  I hope some of these "oldies"(wls) will share their tips for getting in the protien.  Mel turned me on to biotin so now I am taking this....I have only noticed a small increase in hair loss while brushing the hair but I have thick hair so I figure Ill be cooler! I have been using Body fortress from walmart mixed with skim milk but have switched to the protein bullitts.  I started having a lactose intolerance so mixed the protein with water and got it in.  I also like the achieve coffee flavored protein drinks.  Don't be afraid to try stuff as you have to get the protein in.  Also found a jello from meta health in columbia that has 15 gms of protein in a serving that works well.  I am allergic to red dye 40 and nutra sweet so I was really in a bind until I found the stuff naturally colored or sweetened with splenda.   Shannon

I personally do whey protien shakes. I mix one scoop vanilla whey protien 1 carton Yoplait fat free yogurt(usually rasberry or blueberry) 6-10 frozen strawberries splash fat free skim milk its very good!!

My first goal...weight loss of 50 lbs...

I've tried dozens and also had a real hard time finding ones I could tolerate.  I settled on Unjury and Champion Pure Whey Stack.  If you go to http://vitalady.com  you can order samples of the various protein powders she offers for sale, so you can try them before you buy a bigger container.  Protein shakes is definitely an individual tolerance and taste thing.  What one person loves, another hates.  So it's best to try before you buy.  ;)

Right now I am using Whey protein 40g of protein in a 3 oz bottle.  That is what I have to take after my Rny.  preopt I am drinking Whey protein from Wally world

sorry I hadnt responded before now our computer crashed and having to come to library the chicken soup on is okay but I am so sick of broth and thats what it reminds me of but with a heavy texture and taste
