WHATS HAPPENING FRIDAY (HOPE JANET ISNT TOO SICK

Nothing new or exciting happened at work tonight, was sort of scary that it being a full moon and all and nothing happened . Noon of the people were doing anything off the wall .

 

Today we will be signing the papers for the money for the land behind us. So when he can sell it , it was his fathers and he died, then we will get it. Don’t know for sure when that will be , it will be 30 days since his father died on the 27^th and he should know then whether the judge will make it stay in probate or not. Hopefully not. If so we will go ahead and give him some ernest money and draw up a contract with the rest of it to be paid when it gets out of probate as long as there are no leins or anything against it.

 

We are anxious to get hold of it and start renovating it. We already have a lady that wants to rent it I think, she will know more in the spring and we should have it ready to go by then.

Yesterday was payday , I had forgot that until I got to work lol. Made for a pleasant start to the day.

She has me down for very few days in November. Don’t know why but they have hired some more nurses so I guess if I need to go ahead and do my knee surgery they will be alright on nursing staff.

 

 

 

TAMMY: I don’t know if I told you are not but I thought you looked really cute with your hair cut. And boy couldn I tell the difference in your weight loss since you had been here before. Sure hope you and Brenda can come back again soon.

 

 

 

TRACI: im so glad that you are getting your iron infusion done, I hope that will make you feel so much better.

Well how much of all of the list of chores did you get done before you ran out of steam?

 

 

 

Well my angelette Sheila is having surgery this morning. Everyone please pray for her that she comes thru it good and that Dr. Hornbostels hands are guided.

I will let you all know some how. Her son and daughter in law are suppose to call me when she is thru with surgery and if I am already at work I will call someone and have them to post it. Ok?

 

 

 

DARRAH: so glad to have you on the Missouri board. Hope you enjoy it a lot. You have a good idea about the clothing exchange. Even if we just did it twice a year would be great.

You are really being blessed with the babies . They are so precious when they are little. My grandmother used to say , when they are little they walk on your toes and when they are grown they walk on your heart. Very true, the walking on the toes doesn’t hurt nearly as much.

And I see you already have an offer for a ride to the next lee summit meeting. That is great.

 

 

LANA: that dip sounds really good and like it could be a good meal for us. Lol. I have never tasted the Fage Yogurt. What makes it so much better? Does it taste better or have less sugar or fat or what? Was just wondering, im not a big fan of yogurt so far .

I know what you  mean about salsa, I use it on a lot of things and also jalapeno peppers, use a lot of pepper too. Both red and black. I have always loved spicy things and that hasn’t changed with the surgery.

 

 

 

BEV: Sorry that you are having such a lousey day, people can only make your day as lousey as you let them did you know that. Don’t let others control how you feel , lots less stressful on your life. As the saying goes. (He who angers you controls you.) good saying and good lesson there for us.

Yes stress can make you tired and can make you hurt and even be physically sick, take care of your self and hopefully you will get back to your water aerobics , I think that will help you a whole lot with the stress in your life. Once you get the surgery and start losing weight I think you will start to feel so much better and wont be so stressed out.

We will all be praying for you that you hear something from your insurance soon.

 

 

 

JANET: I hope you are feeling better by now but if not wanted you to know that I can do the post don’t feel like you just have to do it ok?

WOW Sounds like you found some really good bargains when you all went shopping.

Don’t guess there is any thing we could do about the dentist since it would just be our word against his on what he said. Wish there was. At least get back even half of our money would be nice.

LOL LOL  that was a cute comment about you had Barbie dolls bigger than Lana and I . I really don’t feel that little , I am beginning to get my head wrapped around the idea that im not so big anymore but when I look at Lana I see how tiny she is. I don’t see me there.

BLONDIE: well look who it is, didn’t know if we would ever see you again. Thanks for the tip on where to get electric blankets cheaper. I have bought one to wrap up in while sitting and watching tv lol. And also one for the bed. I need a king size one too.

 

Sorry to hear about your mom. That is too bad that her knee did that. Did the P.T, not come to the house and work with her on exercising often enough?

 

Wow you are still dating the same guy? That has to be a new record doesn’t it? Lol Im glad hope he is the one.

Yahoo!!!!!!! I got a letter today from Mo Bariatrics stating they have sent my info off for ins approval. I have already talked to my insurance and they told me they pay as long as they have a referral from the surgeon so it shouldn't be long now. I have all my test scheduled for the 1st part of Nov and an appt with Mo Bariatrics for Nov 21...I have a feeling I will get a date in Dec.  Janet I got the pictures you sent and they are so good. I can't believe how much you all have changed. Although I have never met any of you I have been following everyones success and the changes are amazing. Hope I will do that well.  I am doing pretty good on the not smoking, I started taking the chantix on Oct 3rd and have went from smoking almost 2 pks a day down to about 1/2 pk a day. I know that I have not quit yet but I am getting there. If I could just find something to keep me occupied I now I could quit faster but it is hard when you can't do anything. I got me some embroidery and crochet items so that will keep my hands busy.  When my mom had her stoke and was cold I got her an electric throw. She just loved it and they are about $30. I got hers at walmart. They are not real heavy on you either but they sure are warm. I still have it.  Well guess I had better get off here and try and get some sleep, I have my days and nights mixed up..want to stay up all night and sleep all day. No way to live.... Hello to all the new ones and the ones awaiting surgery good luck in your journey.

 

Morning everyone TODAY is my iron infusion day.  Then I woke up to check my OH boards and one two of them the same gal posted her bad iron infusion experience from last week.    Yikes!!  I'm standing in faith that I will not have a bad reaction and that all will go fine for me and this will work and I will only need ONE infusion and that's it - in Jesus name!  AMEN!!  Jan:  my to-do list yesterday:  well, I got the grocery shopping done and the dogs back and forth to the groomer.  That's about it.  I ended up getting a call from someone referred to me by an existing web design client (I'm a web designer) and it was a small job - so I took that and ended up working on that yesterday afternoon.  Some quick cash into my PayPal account.  Gotta love that.  I also landed another very nice (large) web design job this week - so it's been a good week in that department.  I've been turning away clients, actually, because I haven't been feeling well - but this bigger client, I've been negotiating with and talking to literally for months about re-designing his site (I specialize in ecommerce) and he was finally ready - so I couldn't hardly say no after all these months of talking.  I figure my laundry wasn't going anywhere.  The house is otherwise clean and we're very tidy kinda folks and don't have clutter and such.  So tis all good.  Okay - gotta get kiddos up and ready for school and get my things ready for my IRON INFUSION!!!!  Pray for me today, if you wouldn't mind.  Pray for no reactions to this iron infusion - which is the biggest concern, as that could be very serious. I'll check in later and let ya know how it went. 

Good Morning Everyone, Just on here as usual studying before work. Someone please let me know how Sheila is doing after surgery. She andI have become yahoo chat buddies and I am praying for her. My surgery is on Tuesday and guess what.....I don't feel the least bit nervous like i thought i would. In the beginning I was having all sorts of emotions but today i feel so calm. Must be God. Well everyone have a blessed day. I hope i don't get a bad case of nerves the day before and my blood pressure shoots thru the roof.

Hello All, Got a question ? When you got your date did you go into hyper mode for a day or two ? You'd think I had only 2 days to do 10 days of work. I like to get ready so I'm making phone calls, canceling things,shampooing carpets.....I've got a little under 7 weeks and I'm already getting ready . I wanted to thank everyone who said Hi to me on my "I got a date". I really appreciate the good wishes.As far as getting rid of the BIG clothes for summer, it was hairy for a minute in my mind, but then I said Bullcrap !!I'm NOT gonna be fat next summer and I said that with each piece of clothes I put in the bags. It got pretty fun. My kids popped their heads around the corner and thought I was nuts ,but ended up laughing at me. LANA: Again you dear ,sweet lady thank you for offering to be my angel .You know how you felt in school when people were picking people for their teams and you were usually close to last,well thats what stuck in my head and I was nervous about asking on the board,but bless your heart you jumped right in there.Thank you. JANET: Hope all is well with you .I know you're not feeling well and I've said a prayer for you. My hubby and I loved talking to you guys too. My hubby can't wait till Christmas time and the rush of hormones !LOL GLENNA: I loved the meeting. You did great and it was real friendly and chit chatty. Dear Jan and OH Peeps~ Wow, I am so sorry I didnt get on here last night and get the post done. I had taken the kids to town to get stuff at walmart and had bought a couple diff cough/cold and allergy meds-dropped steph off at work, came in the house and took some cough med, and some severe cough and cold tablets-and zonked clean out on the couch. Woke up at 3 and took some more-and here I am at 8.  It sure felt good to get a little sleep!  The coughing was just wearing me out and the drainage from my allergies was making me miserable! I started dinner before I cuddled up on the couch and Mike finished and then fed the kids. I drank some broth and it felt really good on my throat. I have to work today so I hope that I continue to feel better. I think as soon as I am done posting this, I am gonna go back and lay down next to the fireplace for awhile and just relax for a bit. Its sorta gloomy out here today....an eeyore day here, for sure!!! **Jan-so your going to have your knee/knees done in November then?  I didnt realize it would be so soon, but if there is anything we know about you-its how much of a fighter you are and how you bounce back. Where will the surgery be? Springfield or Sedalia? If it is Springfield-I may be able to come and give you something to smile-or shake your finger at me about!! LOL...Keeping mama jan on her toes! You shake your finger at us and Joe shakes his head!! Today I am praying for a safe surgery and speedy recovery for Sheila. I am glad her day is finally here and cant wait to hear she is on the bench with us. She has had a road much like a lot of us have and I know this day is full of emotion.  I wish I could tell you about Mels news, but I cant. I know it can be troublesome to see or hear something bad about something you are getting ready to go through, but.....we will be praying you right through a successful infusion, ok?  Let us know how it goes and I hope you feel better immediately! **Darrah-Welcome, Welcome-Welcome...Wow, you have been a busy woman since having your WLS-LOL....your baby is so beautiful.  You had some good ideas too!  You came to our board after the fact, but we did our 1st annual MO Board reunion last Sept for a weekend in Branson and a lot of people want to do it again next year. We would love to have you and your family come next year!!!  I would love to be able to do the clothing exchange, thats a good idea!

Good Morning MO Peep's             Well things have really been crazy around here for the last couple of days. I find myself coming and going with all the rrands and appointments I have been having lately. Went to get Clara in rolled into head start and noone was there that could do the application. So I have to go back on Monday. Then afterwards I am taken Clara and were going to go have a girls day out and get our hair done.         I went to my school yesterday and found out I got ACCEPTED INTO SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!! I am sooooooooo excited!!!!  I go to orientation on the 8th of November and claaes start on the 12th of November. I practaly floated home I was so excited. And I dont have to pay anything to the school. I got enough thro pell, and loans that will cover all my school expences. Now how kewl is that???     Well I gotta run. Got to jump in the shower with Clara and the baby then get everyone dressed and head to Joplin for an appt with WIC. So we can transfer everything over to my name.    I hope everyone has a good weekend. Sunday after church my g-friend is coming over to watch the kids. So I can take Terry out for his birthday and maybe a movie. His birthday is Saturday. So I figured maybe some time for the 2 of us would be nice. Take Care & Love ya Mel & gang

Good Afternoon Missouri!!

I pray everyone is having a good day. It's cold and drizzly here today, makes me hurt all over. I went back to the foot surgeon this morning,  he said I was healing nicely. I am still to keep  doing my R.O.M. exercises. I asked him how long  they are going to keep swelling and again he told  me that he did an extensive amount of surgery on my toes and that they were going to swell when I am on my feet. He showed me how to wrap them them with that sticky brown wrapping that they use to help with the swelling. Jan My toes were still pretty sore on my trip  up there but they have healed over nicely with a  pink scar as long as I wear my roomy round toed shoes it doesn't bother me to wear shoes. And also  Tammy let me pull off my shoes and put my feet on her dash while we were driving, that helped a lot! Thanks Tammy. I love the way Spanx feel on. They are not  at all like wearing a girdle. It makes me feel well  supported and nothing jiggles. I get the high waist ones and they go up to the bottom of your bra and really help with all the lose skin on the torso. And believe it or not they are quite comfortable. I wore them before I had surgery for support. Mel I am so happy for you that you will get to go  to school and that you got the financial assistance. Janet I hope you feel better real fast. And I would say that your body needed the sleep  that you got.   Congratulations to all of you that got your surgery  date!!! I pray Sheila did well with her surgery today. Well I have to get some laundry done this afternoon! It's just pouring down rain right now!! I am going to take some more Flexiril and try to get  started doing something. I am like Lana says, I pray a blanket prayer for  everyone, if I don't address you by name it's  because my memory sucks big time, I am not good  at remembering names until after I get to know  someone for awhile. .Everyone take care!
