Confused

So I was approved for surgery by my insurance at the beginning of October.  My pre-op date is not until 12/12 and Nancy at the office for Dr. De la Torre says that I probably won't have surgery until Jan/Feb 2008.  Why is that?????  I see people at his other office in Columbia getting dates this month for Novemeber and December.

I don't know maybe I am just complaining and impatient.  I have been on this journey since last year this time with 6-month mandatory diets and fighting with people to send my paper work to depaul. Thanks for listening, I needed to vent. Angela

 

I am in one of the last groups having surgery this year.  I was approved in Sept and my surgery date is Dec 7th.  They are so booked for surgery it's crazy.  I also know they are on vacation the month of Nov.  I know none of this makes you feel any better.  But it's the reason.  If you can travel to the Columbia office and that hospital will take your insurance talk to Patsy at the office at de Paul to see if there are any open dates there.  She will know.  I know when I did my pre op there was only one day left in Dec that they where doing surgery.  I have 42 days and counting.  My surgery date was more then 90 after my approval date.  They only do surgery 2 days a week at each hospital and Fridays are reserved for emergencies and office visits. Thanks, Bell I'm actually ok with it being after the christmas but it just irritates me when I see Chipster has his preop on 11/12 and then surgury on the 19th.  I heard they are going on vacation in Nov also but then I saw Chipsters approval and I nearly fell of the chair! I know I know i'm sure there is a reason for it but it just urks me! Angela

I'm sorry, "please" don't be upset with me.......... all I did was ask if I could have it in November, my folks were going to be in town (from the west cost) for thanksgiving and I had all my pre-opp tests done (on my own).

Hey Chipster; I don't think they mean anything towards you personally....just venting frustration at the person who books the surgeries. Hang in there I bet you will hear from them. We all love you! Congrats on your date. It will be the best one you ever had. I'm making room for you on the losers bench.

Angela, I looked on here and saw someone with a date before mine too and all my stuff was done. I almost flipped out. i was frustrated to no end. I go in this tuesday coming up so i dont hardly think about it anymore but that person had theirs last month and are on the losers bench when here i am just getting started almost. i know it is frustrating but hang in there it gets better.

Chipster, it was nothing against you I just keep seeing people get dates now where me and Kerri are looking at Jan/Feb.  We still have a whole month and a half before we get to the pre-op. Like I said, I am ok with having surgery after the holidays but the wait is killing me. I love you all
