WHATS HAPPENING SUNDAY

Well last night at work was the worst night I have had since I have been there. I was wondering when it would happen.There are 5 postions that need a lic person at on nights and 2 of those postions are usually CMTs which they were both off last night so there was two LPNs scheduled to give the meds. Well!!!!one called in and the other one just didn’t come to work. She was called and said she was on her way but she never got there.

So I was charge on 2 halls and gave the meds on the step down unit. There was only 8 people on that hall but still I knew nothing about them or their meds or anything I was worn out by the time 10 pm came around. I told all of them that if that happened again I wouldn’t be there either. Both the other nurses were swamped under too but they are about half my age. I know it wasn’t easy for them either but I also know that I could bounce back better when I was their age. Lol

 

Today we went to Lampe to  have birthday party with our great neice, she is 7, and pulled her first tooth today too. She was all excited about that. More so than the birthday party.

She is a beautiful little girl , she is the one that we almost raised for the first 4 years of her life. Now her mama is married to a great guy and they have a baby Alexis, she is 8 months and such a little tomboy already. Lol. We had a good time actually I guess , I was just worn out from that last night.

 

 

JANET: thanks for filling in for me. I really appreciate it. I know I couldn’t have posted last night at all. I was so tired I though I wasn’t going to make it home. And then the fog was so thick too it was miserable trying to just get home.

My best wow moment? I really don’t know  other than what I said once before in that I think the biggest wow moment was when I realized how much I had changed, mentally more than physically even. So I think my biggest wow moments have to do with my attitude than anyone elses reaction to me.

NUTTI: sounds like you have been really busy with the haunted house and your miniatures. And the tie dying. I hope you are having a good time with the guest you have coming thru the haunted house.

Isnt it something the difference where we can shop now.? Makes a lot of difference for sure.

Sure hope we get to see you next month in Springfield . Were you sick last month?

 

 

TRACI: well glad that you had no reaction to the iron infusion. Are you noticing any difference yet? I hope so , I pray so.

 

 

BEVERLY B: you know I think most of our needs and wants are so much alike , no matter where we started on the scale, if the weight wasn’t a problem it probably wouldn’t have been so dire that we knew we had to have this wls. You will do all of those things and more once the surgery is over , believe me my friend. It is going to be so great.

 

JONADA1: Run!!!!wow that is a good one. I can run for short distances now but 5 miles??? Don’t think so I guess I would have to train and train to get that one accomplished.

Cant wait to see you doing this.

No Melissa didn’t adopt , you will have to ask her the details, Im not real sure of all of it but she and Terry came to the rescure of these two precious babies that is for sure.

 

Yeah I think that would be a really big wow moment when your sister doesn’t recognize you. Lol

 

 

Melissa I hope you are feeling better or are in the hospital getting repaired. Don’t mess around with this stuff.

Hey Jan and All,       You will all be happy to know that I have decided to go on and have WLS.So with that said, Sunday is a big day for me. Monday is the day that I start my two weeks liquid diet. So Sunday is the last day for awhile that I can have anything to eat that I can chew.LOL I think I will do fine on the liquid diet. So I am gonna go today and get all the stuff that I need to get me started.       But accually on Monday I won't be starting it really. Cuz I go for 9:00a for my assessement at the hospital and then I have my Gallbladder surgery at 1:30p. So I can't have anything all day until after surgery and I probally won't feel much like eating then anyway.So it really will start on Tuesday.        Thank-you for everyone's encouragement and well wishes the other day. I guess I knew all along that I wanted to have WLS, I just needed to be reminded why.I know in my heart that it is the right thing for me to do,and I really am looking forward to living a better life.All though I don't have an angel yet I will make sure I keep everyone informed about my surgery.         We may be going to Booneville Sunday night so we don't have as far to drive on Monday morning. I get free motel rooms at the casino motel .So I figured we might as well take advantage of it.Who knows may get lucking in one way or another!!LOL.

Howdy Yall.... Wow today was so pretty....So glad to see some sun for a change!! Haven't had much time to be on since I got back from the Springfield area Tuesday....Hope all is well with everyone. Tomorrow I will have all my brats together lol lol...We are having a late birthday dinner for Joe and my oldest step daughter Christina...Her birthday was Thursday and Joes was Friday....But the only time we have that everyones not working is Sunday.....She asked for Lasagna(sp) and I am making a new cake I've not made before....It's made with ice cream cake made out of ice cream sandwiches......It's got carmel, cool whip and heath candy bars...Can't wait to try it!! I got to enjoy a wow moment last night....I bought me a top at wal mart!!!!! I have not been able to wear much of anything from wal marts other than socks or bras in probably 10 yrs!!!  Janet mentioned in the post she done yesterday about our most special WOW moments....I have had tons of them and loved them all but I have had several this past week or so that will stay with me forever....I am now almost 150lbs down and I can feel it most days and I do see some differences in myself but I guess it is really starting to show to other people.....I have had more comments about how different & good I look than I have had in my whole life!!! Even comments on how much more high spirited I seem....Everyday lately seems like a wow moment!!!.....It's wonderful!!!!! Hellooo Mo! there is lots going on around here. today my 16 yr old and the boy friend went out alone in the van.....they followed my SIL and family to another family members Halloween party.  they drove home on the highway in the dark...her first time....she was VERY nervous.....but didnt crash...so we were all happy and she was much relieved to be home.....Im glad she is as worried as we are about  driving....she has lost several friends this last yr....4 girls from Carthage in different accidents. so best to be super cautious than think your invincible!  she has been driving since Monday on her own! got her license. and we celebrated with a ride thru Mc Donalds.....I have nibbled small bits of a burger before with ok results BUT lately meat is not my friend....and I was feeling poorly.    today we took the new mommy to the er....she felt some water drainage and we all paniced but it was not amniotic fluid so home we came....I dont mess around with what if's I go to the ER  Ive had 7 pregnancies and only 3 children.  I was almost 5 months along with my first. but our little boy who still has no name is just fine and mom is dehydrated. drink more water MOM!   I was soo grateful for wls today when this happened because I would never have been able to walk all over the Hospital before now....and I would not wanted to have been pushed in the wheelchair when it was her that was ill.  and tonight I took a trip to Wal-mart again walking....I even feel like walking!  now riding in the buggy is again an option if needed.....but Im trying not to need it. tonight I bought to other styles of pants to try on. havent yet! so good to hear about Terry doing better...Mel did you make it to hospital...should have just called me...why use taxi....and Im better company! Hey Tammy! I almost bought  a shirt today too....but didnt want to be disapointed if it didnt fit....I never try on at the store...Im phobic about it! (sigh) but Im going to next week. and if it dont fit than it will soon!

good to see new members and I hope I get to post over the next few days...its gonna get crazy around here soon with this haunt.... Jan we are not open yet....we are open Tuesday and Wed. 7--9:30pm nutti

Morning everyone I managed to get quite a bit done yesterday:  ALL of the laundry, two trips to Walmart and got some CHRISTMAS SHOPPING DONE!!  and made supper, went to the movie store and bought myself a new lamp for the living room and put that together too!!  Now let me tell you - it's been forever and a day since I had enough energy to do all that!!!       So I'd say I'm feeling better!!  The only side effect I'm noticing from the infusion is some puffiness/swelling and I'm guessing that's from the steroid shot they gave me.  My feet and hands are still a little puffy this morning.  I'm guessing that will go away eventually.  I noticed the scale was up a couple pounds and I know I didn't eat any more or anything that would have caused that jump overnight, so it must be from the steroids.  So that's the only downside I can see from the infusion.    It's one I can live with if I get my energy back. Today is church and then home to relax with the family.   Tammy V. :  Congrats on the decision to have the surgery!!!!!  Jan:  Girl - I bet you were tired after a night like that!  WOW!  Have a great day everyone!!!!

Jan sounds like you had a busy day..I had a bad day yesterday..I had the stomach cramps  all day, I guess it was gas and today I am sore..worse pain I had since surgery.        Tammy I am glad you decided to have surgery you want be sorry..this stage  you are in now is the worse, we all went thru it..I was taking several meds. before now I take nothing now but vit.   My wow moment was at the dentist. and had to fill out the paper work, they wanted me to put down all  meds I was on, I said I dont take any, she said WHAT? at your age and no meds, thats right....    Mel.take care of that hubby, you sure have your hands full..but it will  be rewarding....love ya all..... vesta

Hi Everyone!

WOW Moment!  Got on the scales this am and was surprised - I weighed 200 pounds on the dot.  I am in shock! Went shopping yesterday and I must have tried on 20 bras, nothing  fits so will just sew up a couple I have already.  I bought 2 pair of slacks from Pennys that were on sale for $12.95 as I need 4 outfits  for this weekend as my niece is getting married in KC.  So I finally  have enough clothes to last me a bit.  Have been giving away all my  4 & 5X,s.  Got several things left and may try to take them up to the resale shop if my sis doesn't take them. Another wow moment - I can sit in the recliner and have my mini schnauzer lay beside me.
