Constipation

Okay Ladies (and Gentlemen): I need suggestions on what to do for constipation.  I suffered from it years ago before I had children.  After I had my two boys it went away.  Now after wls and taking Cymbalta, it is back worse than ever.  Yesterday I honestly thought I was going to have to go to the ER.  It was horrible! I know I've seen posts about this before and was going to search the website but couldn't find where to do the search from.  I'd appreciate your suggestions and knowing what has helped you. I have the same problem..first ask your doctor....but ever 2 or 3 nights before bed I take milk of mag. if that doesnt work I use mag. citrate.. and be sure to use benefiber, it doesnt help me but it might you.  good luck I did go to the urgent care one night it was so bad, jus****ch it and dont wait to long to get them to move....good luck.....vesta

I take Mag. Citrate daily and have Raisin Bran most mornings for breakfast.

take at night works wonders.

I use Benefiber chewable tabs every day. They taste really good too, they are orange  flavored. They do not leave any grit in your  mouth they are real smooth. I haven't been able to find the Super Dieters Tea  in any Wal*Mart within 40 miles of where I live. Brenda

I will tell you my secret. I have tried everything...over the counter stuff, lax, teas ....you name it I have taken it. The nutritionist told me to eat quick oats for breakfast every morning. And I have and I am more regular now than I have EVER been. I use quaker quik oats...1/2 cup with water just over the top, and microwave. I add a splenda pack to it after cooking. Then eat it, I don't add milk or anything...the bulkier the better results. Most of the weight lifters and body builders use oatmeal for this reason I have found out. Works like a charm for me....it did take a few days to kick in though, because when I started asking around I was in the same shape as you. Good luck!!!!   Tara.

Quick oats sounds yummy too; especially with this colder weather here.  I'll try that for breakfast tomorrow.  Thanks Tara!!
