Support Groups

Hello MO Board friends, It has been awhile since I've posted here.  Things are going OK with the weight loss.  Slowed down to about 3 - 5 pounds per month, but I'm only 22 pounds from my goal.  Hoping to make it by 12 months but with only a month to go not sure that will happen. I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge of a support group close to or in Warrensburg.  I know Dr. Hornbostel's office in Sedalia used to have one bi-monthly and maybe still does.  Does anyone go to it?  I really think that an accountablity group would help me at this stage.

I think that Dr. Hornbostel group still have the support meetings. and  Colette Swan has one somewhere up there. not sure how far away from you it is.   I hope you find one i know our support meetings here i couldnt do without.  hope  you come on line more often , we have missed you.

Marilyn,    We have our support group on the 4th Monday of each month in Lees Summitt.  However  this month we are having our meeting on the 17th and it is a potluck.  I will post info again soon.  Our group is fairly new and we average 10-15 people each time.  Our agenda is not set - We are there to help each other.  Last time we discussed carbs and proteins and fats in different foods we eat.  I drive from Concordia.  I do know that there are plans for a group to start in Higginsville after the first of the year.  If you would like to go, please let me know.  We would love to have you.  Colette
