~Whats Happening Wednesday (for Jan)~
Hello MO Peeps~
I miss Jan!! I meant to get this posted last night-and fell asleep-and slept until 3 am, got up, took more pain meds, and back to sleep! Sorry for those of you who looked for this post last night or before I got it done this morning!~
Lets say HAPPY BIRTHDAY RONALD BAILEY!!! Hope you have a wonderful day today!
Yesterday I HAD to go to Joplin to pay bills that I didnt do the day before-when they were due-but after I got done at the dentist-I couldnt quit crying and the pain was so intense that I didnt care when they were due! I just wanted to get home to the heating pad and ice pack! The swelling has gone down a little-and probably would have been a little better-but last night, Stephanie went to Art Club, and her friends mom brought her home and came in to meet me, as she wants to get WLS and wanted to talk to me about it-well, it was after 8, and I was laying on the couch, in my Eeyore Jammies-no bra and had the heating pad on my jaw-I about freaked out when Mike said Stephanie was bringing in Emalee and her mom (also a Stephanie).....Ran to my room, put my bra on... and talked to her-but not too much, just told her I would write down all the info and give it to Steph to give to Emalee at school today, well, while we were standing at the door saying goodbye-I bumped my swollen cheek against Stephanie (my daughter) shoulder...Can you say instant tears? Emalees mom is a big wig at AT&T and offered to help me get a job there should I be released to go back to work after my back and knee surgeries. I may take her up on that next fall when all my surgeries are over and Jon starts school..... Anyway-got off track there-went and paid my 2 bills (had clld them to tell them I would be in a day late) went to the grocery store to get some milk (had wanted to go to Walmart until I saw how crowded they were and in the mood I was in-didnt want people running into me in with their carts etc) By the time we got out of the store-I was wishing Jonathan could drive home...I was hurting at about 100 on a scale of 1-10.
Mike came home from work and got the icicle lights put on the front of the house, got our big globe up in front and then our Santa with Rudolph....Now it looks like Christmas here. We had just been waiting for a day where it wasnt freezing and windy. It was pretty nice out there yesterday-I figure thats why everyone is so sick-its really nice one day and then freezing cold the next. The weather is making everyone so sick-I wi**** would just go one way or the other and stay there. Dont even care if its cold-just stay cold and that way our bodies can adjust!
Today, if my abscess isnt killing me-I am going to meet Mel over at the garage and go through our boxes of clothes. I have a couple of coats sold already and my ex BIL is coming out on Friday to set my computer up and show me how to get my pics from my digital camera put on ebay so I can sell some of the nicer things I have. I cant wait. I also have some of the baby stuff and furniture sold-so I need to get it out of there so I can get the money for it. Plus, Mikes adopted aunt (who bought all 3 large coats) will be able to stay warm-LOL....
Before I get to everybody-I would like to ask for prayer for a couple of people-first of all, for Jan-for a speedy and uneventful recovery. I know she is tough, but the prayers will help! Then please pray for Brenda, Mel and Lana-their pain is unbearable right now-and they are all having to have medical intervention. Then, please pray for Bel and Connie-who are both pre-op. Please pray they have peace of mind and strength while they are doing their liquid diets, and then for a safe surgery. Thanks so much!!
**Brenda-I am SO SORRY you are going through that! I am hoping and praying that the injection in your spine will give you some relief. I wished I lived closer to help you out. Im also sorry to hear about the deaths of your loved ones. Please know your in our thoughts and prayers. Please update when your up to it. Would love to hear from you. Miss and love you bunches!!!
**Traci-I am so glad to hear your group went well. How many people attend it? Wow-your kiddos just went back to school from Thanksgiving break? How long do they get over the Christmas holiday? Mine get about 2 weeks..give or take a day or two. Have a good day.
**Bobbi Jo-I hope you have a good 2 weeks with the kids! Sounds like your gonna be busy. I have family in Illinois...Downers Grove. I had to laugh about the hubby finding presents that were hid 2 yrs ago-that happened to me this past fall when I went through all the boxes for the sale-LOL...Thats always a nice surprise, isnt it? **Nutti-thanks for the tip. I can definitely use it!! It cant hurt to try it, can it? The swelling has gone down some, but the pain is still there. I will do that today! I will be in Carthage Friday to see the pain management doc, so maybe I can swing by and get those bullet containers to you??
Well, I am gonna get this posted. I hope everyone has a wonderful day and as always, your in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Janet
Well today is the get all the Christmas cards for DH business out day I have had them ready with the exception of some addresses and he finally gave those to me. I just put a pot of soup on for today. Went and priced some of the things the kids want for Christmas the other night and I about fell over when the heck did board games get some dad gum expensive lol... we love playing board games and we have tons but there are a few the kids thought looked fun and when I priced them they were 25.00 each!!!! I told them to go knock on Bill and Melinda Gates door and ask to be adopted lol...We went on saturday and walked the Christmas tree farm and I picked out the perfect tree it is a 7.5 ft tall Norwegian Fir and it is the most beautiful tree I have ever seen. So we decorated it and had what we call thankful dinner when we decorate the tree the kids have to tell us what they are thankful for over the last year each time they place an ornament ( we write this down and have a book about it going for them when they are older) well this year I changed it a bit and wrote everyones name down and placed them in a cup and when you drew the name you had to tell us what you were thankful for about the person who's name you drew.... had to do something there had been so much fighting with them all lately lol and wow its amazing they said nice things about each other lol....I am looking forward to getting to see Shannon again this month :) I cant wait!!!!!!! I am down to a final 5 classes in college so on July 6th I will be graduating with a Bachelors In Business, the only thing my dad asked of us kids before he died was that one of us get a college degree and I being the baby may be 41 but by golly I will have that degree this summer!!! I hope that all is well with everyone will talk to you all later!
You must begin to think of yourself as becoming the person you want to be, before you can actually become that person.

Good Morning Janet and all Peeps,
I wanted to post before I left for the epideral. I got a call a few minutes ago from my pcp's office.
I went in Monday for a regular follow up visit. They drew blood to check my A1C and cholesteral.
They just told me my A1C was 5.5 !!!!!
And my bad cholesteral went down to 85 !!!!!!!!!
So I am happy about that, BUT, and there always seems to be a BUT! My liver enzymes are elevated! I don't take any kind of Tylenol and I don't drink alcohol, so the nurse wasn't quite sure why it would be elevated. My enzymes have been elevated in the past. Maybe it's from all the vitamins and supplements I take now. Janet I do pray that you get relief from your toothache soon. To everyone I pray that God will bless you.
Life is too short to wake up with regrets.
So love the people who treat you right..
Forget about the one's who don't.
Believe everything happens for a reason.
If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.
If it changes your life, let it.
Nobody said life would be easy,
they just promised it would be worth it.
