Hey Jan and All, Just wanted to check in. All has been going fine. Been busy getting ready for Christmas. Got my Christmas cards out yesterday so you all should be recieving them soon.I didnt put up a tree cuz we are moving again right after Christmas and I'll have enough packing to do. Didn't want to have to pack all that stuff back up again also. Besides the kids won't be home for Christmas anyway, so no-one here to enjoy it anyway. Been getting my shakes and vitamins all lined up and ready for starting my liquid diet on the 26th.The hospital called me yesterday and got all my information up to date. She said she wouldn't make me drive all the way to Sedalia just for blood work. So they are just gonna do it that morning when I get there.Getting very excited, less than a week before I start my liquid diet. My parents and some of my family are still against it, but they will just have to get over it. Because I know that this is what I want and I am gonna do it.And then have my happier and healthier life.
I have a new little all grey kitten that is about four months old. Her name is Bell. She is an aunrey(sp.) little thing. She always has to set on me no matter where I am at and she sleeps right on top of me every night.I have scratches all over me from her climbing all over me.LOL Jan I am glad to hear that you are doing well with your knee surgery. Keep up the good work.Sounded like you had lots of fun with your family yesterday, that's great. We always get together at my parents house for Christmas and every year we play bingo. Everyone buys three gifts from $1 to $3. And we pick one out and put it on the table and who ever gets bingo gets the gift. And if you get something you don't want then you can trade with someone else. It's alot of fun.All the kids look forward to it. They don't even call it our Christmas party it's our Bingo party.LOL Well need to get going. Everyone please take care of your self and your family. And have a very Merry and safe Christmas. I love you all. Take Care and God Bless, Tammy V.
Good Morning Jan and OH Peeps~
Yesterday was freaky busy. Didnt get all settled down until about 8 last night. By that time, I was beyond hurting in my wildest dreams. Asked Mike to take me to the woods and kunk me with a big rock-not kill me-but just enough to knock me out for a few hours so I could rest without feeling pain!! He didnt do it-Damn it-its getting harder and harder to get my way around here-LOL...
Jon and I went to Hastings to try and find Mike his music c.d.s-and get Steph a gift card. Then I met Mel and her kids at Lane Bryant to exchange the bra-which the santa bra with the white furry, they didnt have in my size. They took the white furry and put it on the red bra I got in its place though. She sized me again-and no wonder I am having so many problems, one boob is a whole cup sized bigger than the other!! What she measured me around was just an inch different than what I got-BUT, we ended up having to go 3 inches bigger around? Extra skin or something? I dont know! Maybe the way the bra is made. Im just not sure-but it was weird to have the girls where they were suppose to be!!! I dont think I will get below a c cup, even with all this weight loss-I just have a ton of wrinkly skin-even on the girls. Ok-so got the top of ms santa suit all squared away then we all headed to BK because they have an indoor playground so the kids could play after eating lunch.....Heck-its the ONLY time they would rather not have their little kid meals-then Jon and I ran a couple of errands-and Mel and her kids ran their errands. Jon and I got home about 6 ish, and Mike took the GMC and headed to town to go to the track and test and tune some race cars he has been working on. I started wrapping all the goodies I could with Darrel and Jon home. Steph had a field trip for art class-she went to have pizza and see a movie. Megan and Aaron were at the same place watching a movie-so when they were all done-the teacher let Steph ride home with the kids-they took her to the track and dropped her off with Mike. Anyway-Mike no more than left and I got a text from Mel-she was on her way to the ER with Claire-she had started complaining that her chest hurt-and that she wanted to just go home and go to bed. It worried Mel-ecspically since Claire had her Daisy xmas party last night and they were to do a gift exchange etc. Well-she was okay-but she had some bruised muscles-I wonder if she didnt get hurt in the play area of BK-going down that slide and such? Im just glad she is alright. I know it freaked Mel out....I was freaked out too-but I told Mel-dont let them see you nervous or scared cause they can sense it.....I couldnt go to the hospital to help with the baby because I didnt have a vehicle-and the kids were already at the movies...She did good though and juggles those kids like she has had them since day 1!!!!
I still have so much shopping to do-between the pneumonia, my back, and the gb attacks and then being iced in out here-its really put a damper on my xmas shopping for my kids. I do have some stuff-but not all - and I HATE the crowds-and now I am stuck shopping with them this weekend. Crap. It doesnt look like we will be doing our girls and One boy baking day like we wanted. Just not enough time......Mel has to get her gang together and get ready to go south to be with her whole family for Christmas. We MAY be getting another storm soon-this weekend they are saying there is a possibility! Im really ready for the weather just to stay one way or the other. Hate this back and forth stuff!! Nice, then colder, nice than cold...thats why everyone is getting really sick around this area....
Well, I am gonna get this wrapped up and get the day going. Have to give Jon a shower and then cut his hair and get some more stuff wrapped. The kids go to school now until Friday. They have the snow days set up in their year already and IF they didnt use them all-they would get out of school early, well-since they have already used 3 of them-they are making them go to school until Friday at 1 pm, and they were suppose to be done today for Christmas break....I dont get it-but they are worried that since they have already used 3, that they will go over again like last year. What a crock....
No good news on Mikes dad yet. Please keep praying for him. Every time they try to get him off the ventilator-he crashes and they have to put him back on it. Its making Mike and I nervous wrecks. Thanks-I appreciate it.
**Jan-I am so glad you had a good Christmas get together. I love to hear that-and I love those type of get togethers where everyone is around and they are all happy to be in each others company!!! My family is so small-and when I do go to get togethers like that-I ALWAYS wonder if those people know how lucky they are to have so many loved ones and togetherness? I know you do-Im just asking if people think its a hassle or if they know how blessed they are? I hope you didnt overdo it though, but I know you did-LOL...thats how you are-Im glad Joe the jailer is keeping his eyes on you-LOL. Tell Joe hi. We love you both!
**Sherr-CONGRATS on the engagement. Is this the guy who has the 4 yr old girl? If so-WOW...Im so happy for you. I hope and pray that you have a wonderful, incredible life together-and I know he is so different than the others! Want to see pics of you guys and the girl. Love ya! Happy holidays and tell your mom I say hi please. How is she doing?
**Chelle-GOOD TO SEE YOU girl!! Congrats on the grades-thats wonderful!! Knew you could do it. Im so glad you are so close to goal. Im not doing my tummy tuck up in Columbia if I can help it. Although I LOVE Dr. Fearing-I dont care for the hospital I would have to go to. At the group Monday night-One of the girls that used to have Dr. Scott-said that Fearing and Ramashwamy were taking over Scotts patients-so I would call up there and ask for Fearing. She ROCKS! Im glad we will see you on a more regular basis now-Have missed you terribly. Love you and think of you often! I will keep your daughter and baby in prayer as well... Let us know as soon as he gets here. Please!!
**Lana-ALWAYS good to see you! Miss you guys so much during the month and when I miss a month, its twice as bad! Can you have John or Stacy or someone call me after your surgery so I can post PLEASE? I will email you my phone number again-JUST IN CASE-LOL...and PLEASE have one of them call me. Ok? I know we will all want to know you are doing great!!! Love you!
**Glenna-thanks for the party again!!! Thanks for everything you do. I am praying for Joey to get better ASAP...I know thats hard! We love you so much for all you do for us-thanks again and I hope and pray for you, Jess and Joey-have wonderful holidays!!!
**Everyone else-have a good day....The countdown is on for the crazy time in this house right now-so I am going to get going. Hope your all well and have heat. As always-your in my thoughts and prayers. Janet
Merry Christmas Missouri, Sorry it has been so long since I posted. This new job (is October still considered new?) has me so tired when I get home. I just enough energy to make something to eat, chat with my hubby for a bit then we go to bed. Wed. are my day off so I thought I would drop in and post an update. Just from quick scanning the posts, there seams to be so many new people here. Welcome!!!! to all I have not yet met. Seams like everyone is very busy getting ready for Christmas. I know we are here. I am just waiting for payday on friday to finish up my shopping. Well things are going well with me surgery wise. I am 16 weeks out and had my first labs done 2 weeks ago. Everything looked good except I was low on Iron. No surprise here. I was always low prior to the surgery. So I am taking my iron pills everyday instead of 3 times a week. I had cut back cause of the constipation. I guess I will just have to figure another way to avoid the big "C". As of this morning I am down to 246 from 307. So slow and steady. I know part of it is my fault cause I am not exercising as much as I should. I am checking into switching hours at work. If that goes through I can go workout when my hubby goes. That always helps me get going. I am busy on the weekends too. I started singing in the worship band at church. I alternate every other weekend. I really enjoy it. I missed it so much. I was in a worship band when I lived in Iowa, and it has been 2 years sing I sung with others like this. We are having our Christmas eve service at 6, so we are getting ready for that. My hubby got me my Christmas present a bit early. We have a new schnouzer (sp?) puppy. Her name is Lilly and she is 5 months old. She is grey and white and absolutely adorable. She is doing well at the potty training, but my poor hubby he has never had a puppy before so I am getting a sneek preview of how he might act if we decide to have a baby in a year or so. LOL He hates cleaning up the accidents. But they are getting less frequent now. It is so funny to watch her and our other dog, Little Bit (schnouzer/yorkie mix) play and wrestle. I soppose she will keep him young. He is 9 years old but still loves to play. The Christmas cards are filtering in now. I sent mine out the week we got the adresses. I hope everyone received them. I am taping mine up in my living room. I am getting them from here and from the wls people on youtube. I will post a video soon of all of the cards I got. I also posted a few videos of my singing Christmas songs, if anyone wants to view them. You can view them in my profile. Well, I got to get going. I have lots to do today. I will check back soon. I miss everyone. Have a great week. ((HUGS)) and Prayers, Rebecca

Hello everyone, Jan, Glad you had such a wonderful time with your family. Jess and I are having our Christmas with our family this weekend and then we are spending Christmas day at home. We got a certificate to the Honey Baked Ham store, so we're planning on going there and seeing what we can have from there for our Christmas dinner. I've never been there before. Thank you and Janet both for the sweet compliments you give me. I love our group and even though I am the "leader"......it is OUR group. I just am there to try to keep things rolling along. lol I'm happy to report Joey is doing a lot better. He is even putting that leg down when he walks some now. Of course, he's limping.....but at least he's using it some. Thanks for the prayers all of you guys have said for him. I know everybody isn't dog lovers, but for those of us that are.......these little guys are sooo important to us. Janet, just reading about your life makes my head spin. You stay sooo busy. You really push yourself, considering the back pain you have to deal with and all. Better get off and go fold a load of towels. Happy Wednesday Ya'll, Glenna
