Question about Dr. Scott leaving
I'm a patient of Dr. Scott and was approved to have WLS, but I received a letter stating he's no longer in Columbia. I called to the office to see what doctor I would be able to see now to have my surgery, but I haven't heard anything from them and it's been a month now. Does anyone else have United Healthcare PPO and use to see Dr. Scott?
I am confused - I have United Healthcare and live in Columbia. My Bariactric nurse (though the insurance company) told me that I would have to a "Center of Excellence" doctor and there was none in Columbia so I have to drive to the DePaul in St. Louis, MO.
Is there a "Center of Excellence" in Columbia now? I have my pre-op at DePaul and want to go ahead with my plans to hve my surgery next month. But it would be wonderful if I did not have to drive that far for my post-op followups.
I think Dr. Scott is now practicing @ DePaul in St. Louis.

Hi there.... I went to the same office Dr Scott was in there in COlumbia and let me tell you any of the other Dr's they have are great... I had surgery with Dr Ramaswamy and she is awesome... Call them and speak directly to Amy King and see if she can not help you hun....I lucked out I live 15 minutes from their office so when I do not get answers I drive up and wait it out till SOMEONE talks to me :)
