A Good Doctor!
I do need to comment on our Dr. Hornbostel. I really think he did a wonderful job. I feel very good. I got home on Saturday. On Sunday, I was outside most of the day. It was beautiful. I walked a little and leaned a lot on our railings in front of our apartment. I have a neighbor who's sister had the RNY surgery in May. She was really surprised to see me around and walking. She said her sister didn't do much moving for the first couple of weeks. I am very proud that I had my surgery so I have showed just about everyone I can my incisions. She was quite impressed. Her sister had surgery here in St. Louis. Her sister had staples holding all her incisions closed. She also had a drain tube. I showed her mine and said no staples. I also said no drain tubes, he doesn't use them. She really was impressed. Everyone kept asking me why I was going all the way to Sedalia. Well that is my reason. I feel very good. I am confident that he did an awesome job. He has perfected this surgery. All his methods make the healing process so much better and bearable. I don't have to worry about infections with the drain tube. As to my incisions they don't pull as much as staples but we will see more tomorrow when the plastic disks are removed.
Well Love ya All and Dr. Hornbostel,
Kelly
i only had one plastic disk and it more or less came off by itself. mine wasnt stitched in or on. was just laying there.
I agree that Dr. Hornbostel is the best there is. I am very impressed with him and his system of surgery.
I still dont see any need for the drain tube , he doesnt use it and we all get along just fine. and at least we dont have something else in us to possible cause an infection.
i was out pulling weeds out of my flowers the day after i went home. lol
