I am sipping, walking and resting, actually getting more fluids in than i though, and i feel pretty well, but I woke up this morning with 99.5 and hoped all day it would go away, it did go down for awhile, and is now 99.9...  is this just normal sometimes with surgery?  I have one sheet that says to call the doc if over 100 and another that says 100.4.  I have no drainage/ redness or bad looking sites, havent had pain meds since 8:30 am, i think i am doing well other than gas pains.. Just wanted your input on this and to see if any of you have had this problem.  I don't want to end up with a nasty infection, that thought has always bothered me..  Thanks for being here and please keep me in your prayers. cindy

Cindy, It never hurts to give the doctor a call if you not sure on things. Are you taking any thing for the fever? If you still have it tomorrow or it does get any higher go ahead and give em a call just to make sure....A simple lil blood test would tell them if an infection is lurking somewhere waiting to kick in....Keep me posted.....Luv & Hugs...Tammy~ammy

'Do call the doctor tomorrow if it continues tomorrow. I also wanted to say Hi, I will be having surgery done by Roger De La Torre on Feb 19 at University of Missouri. How do you Like Dr De La Torre? I live in California Missouri just 20 miles west of Jefferson City, Mo. Hang in their look like your doing all the right things, walking resting and drinking. I'll be watching for your posts.   Sue

I have been running a fever for 2 weeks now and no one will give me a good reason as to why? I do have severe bruising and was told that was why I had fever but not sure I believe that?

Yes Bev the severe bruising can cause fever, are you feeling bad still or are you doing some what better?  Praying for both of you. Jan
