All - any advice on the vitamins.  I am crushing B1 and two Calcium Citrate tablets.  They are terrible.  Does anyone know of a Calcium Citrate that is meant to be chewable? Thanks

Bariatric Advantage sells calcium lozenges -- you can either suck on them or chew them (or both) -- whatever way you like it best.

Yep, I'd go with Bariatric Advantage if you can't swallow pills.  That's what I used as a new post-op. At this point, I can swallow pills - so I don't do quite so many chewables.

Renee -- I was under the impression that we can only take the B-1 sublingually after surgery.

It's the B12 you need to either take sublingually or via injection.  The other B vitamins you can take in pill form.

I like Building Block Chewable check out www.bbvitamins.com the nurse at the doctor's office said they get the best lab results on patients who are taking this brand. The Calcium citrate comes in orange or chocolate flavor. Good luck, Sue

Hi Renee, I don't take chewable calcium, I take citracal petites. They're about the size of an aspirin caplet. Dr. De La Torres nurse Nancy takes them, so I figure if she does that's good enough for me. I tried the chewables and they were to gritty for me. Connie

I thought the B. Advantage ones were to chalky. I do better with the fruity chewable Calcium Citrate tablets at Wal-mart. Walgreen have some but they aren't as tastey. Find something you can live with they are very important.
