I'm Getting There Folks!

After being ill for a good number of days, this afternoon I don't feel like my body is rejecting me any longer. Had the surgeon consult a few weeks ago.  Have the exercise physiologist and nutritionist in the morning.  Psychologist visit tomorrow afternoon!  Faxed in a note from my PCP last week stating I was medically sound for surgery!  I really wanted to get this 90-day diet thing going by March 1st!   Anything else I need to be doing?

Sounds like it's really coming together for you!  Any idea on a surgery date?

Don't forget that you need a five year weight history from your physicians! I am having trouble with my history because there is a point in the past five years that I did not have health insurance. So I only went to the ER for any and all medical needs. I guess this may cause a problem with getting approved. I have emailed Karla asking if I should go all the way back to the pcp I had in the '90's when I lived with my parents. I have not heard anything so maybe I will do it anyway, it shouldn't hurt if I do!

Thanks Cassie!   Five-year medical history was obtained and turned in on Feb. 12 when I was seen initially by Nurse Karla and Dr. Price.  Turned in their medical history sheet on Feb. 12 too.  I was prepared.  Had to pay $52 to get my medical chart copied.  I go to the doctor a lot.   Saw Thelma and Trisha yesterday morning and then saw the psych nurse in the afternoon.  Hated driving all the way across town two times, but that's the way it goes.  Got 3 things done in one day!  I'm guesstimating I'll get a surgery date in early June? Hey no problem! I wish I had been more prepared! I am glad your appointments went well! I know what you mean about downtown! I am happy that I can schedule my appointments right after work since I am already there! Yea, I am thinking that my surgery will be in May or June!  I think it is crazy that we have to pay money to gey our own medical records! They are our records no one elses so why do we have to buy them? Oh well, such is life I guess! LOL!
