WHATS HAPPENING SATURDAY

We just got home from the ANGELS support group meeting. Don’t usually go to them but Brenda , from Harrison was coming up to go to it and wanted me to come too. So we did. She and her husband, Randy , are such nice people , I really like them . Good people. Brenda is having her surgery April the 28^th with Dr. Hornbostel.

 

It is suppose to get really cold tonight, I am hoping this is one of the last nights that it gets this cold. I cant believe that Spring begins the 20^th and we are still having this kind of weather everyday.

Also remember tonight before you go to bed to move your clocks up one hour. Spring forward, fall back, I never could remember which you moved the cloc****il someone told me that lol. You would think I was a blonde. Sorry blondes

 

Im going today to that Master Gardeners class in Branson . Im looking forward to it. Hope it will be worth the time.

 

Oh I forgot , Thanks Brenda for the cute little sign to put in my garden, that is really cute.

It says Gardeners know the best dirt.. Thank you sweetie. That was awesome of you.

I love silly little signs like that. I saw one in a picture of a greenhouse that I wish I could find, if anyone sees it anywhere let me know. It says ( Trespassers will be composted)

I thought that was cute.

 

 

TAMMY: I am so happy that you all are going to get  your meetings going. You all need to get hold of Andrew and see if he wants to come to your meetings too. Im sure there are others in that area that will be interested too.

We will all continue to pray for you and your endeavor it is something that everyone needs if they have had surgery that is for sure. I read something somewhere that the people that attended support meetings at least once a month were more likely to be successful, and I really believe that too.

 

Sweetie you will make it down to the two hundreds soon. Maybe up your water and protein shakes to an extra one a day. If you don’t have your water the fat cant flush out of your system. What are you eating that is making you hold onto the weight? Write it all down for a few days and you will see it , write down food, water, snacks etc.

 

We all really are ready for you to come to a support group meeting too. We miss you and wish you were closer to us.

Yes when you do come up please bring Cindy with you and anyone else that wants to come.  We should have our guest house back by the end of April. The grandkids are moving into an apartment so that will be available. In case you all want it.

NUTTI: boy you found a job and jumped right into working didn’t you? Hope you like your job.

Yeah we really miss you not coming into the computer to play lol.

Especially when you don’t let us out for days at a time.

 

We all do tend to get hooked on the scales don’t we. We just have to make ourselves leave it alone. I obsessed over it when I first was losing so much weight so fast that was fun but since it now is like pulling hens teeth it isnt so funny. Lol

Now I most of the time don’t get on the scale but a couple of times a month.

 

Those new babies are sure precious aren’t they? Did you see the pictures on my profile of the 4 one year old babies at their birthday party?

 

Your welcome about me posting , sometimes I think that people must not like me doing it by now and then someone will tell me something nice like you just did that makes me think oh well I guess they aren’t going to stone me just yet lol.

I love doing it and I love answering anyone that post on here. Plus all the email I get too but I love that a lot too. So everyone keep those cards and letters coming .lol

Morning everyone Thanks for the reminder about the clocks Jan!  I would have forgotten and been late to church tomorrow!  Today I'm taking the children to the library, then to the movie store to see if we can find anything decent to watch, have to run to Walmart and the pharmacy.  I need to get my Sunday school lesson finalized for tomorrow and do some laundry.  That's about it. Everyone loves your posts Jan, I guess some people get so busy after surgery, they feel better and want to do more things I sure miss all of them even if they would just drop in and say hi I would love it, so many was a blessing to me. I saw Alan last nite on tv. he sure looks and sounds great, I am so proud of him...Brenda sounds like a wonderful person I sure would like to meet her....everyone have a good weekend ....vesta

Vesta, I asked where you were last night at the meeting, I didn't know if you came to the meetings or not - but you were one I was looking for......  Will you be at the one on the 24th?

 The meeting last night was a hoot!  I learned a lot and found out that everyone was happy with their surgery by the looks on their faces.  Going out to eat after the meeting was intresting.  A party of 11 people and 9 of them had special instructions for their orders...I' would have hated to have been our waitress! hahaha (or the cook for that matter)  It actually made me feel good to see them eat, so much talk about not eating...it makes a person pre surgery wonder just how it will be.  But I saw no difference in the way they ate (and giggled)  from a normal lunch with my girlfriends, so that was reassuring. 

Meeting Jan and Joe was fun- Jan has helped me so much through private e-mail - goodness knows I've asked her enough questions! hahaa  My husband Randy enjoyed the meeting as well.  He learned some very intresting things from the group on his right...ha!  We enjoyed meeting everyone and hope they liked us as well.

Since I don't know where Pomona, MO is, I hope it's not too far away to met you on the 24th!

Brenda glad you enjoyed the meeting I would love to go to one..I have been to the other one that is about the same people and I love them all. We have a support group in West Plains just 8 miles from pomona, maybe you could come to it sometime, Jan talked about coming sometime, I hope you, all will. lol,you saw we are still normal after surgery? lol yep we are......vesta

Howdy Yall... Well it looks like I might get to finally make the kids some snow cream.....We got aprox 4 1/2 - 5 inches yesterday and last night. First we have had with snow that amounted to anything...We had a dusting of snow a few times but it's always so messy the snows been no good to use for snow cream or even make a decent snow man. Usually we get it right after a big rain and thunderstorms so it always messes it up. Jan....To tell you the truth I have not been a good girl at all the past few months....I have been so busy and so stressed with everyone living at my house that I have backed off doing like I should do. I have not done much of any of the things I need to be doing. I know thats why I am in a slump right now and I hope to fix that and get the ball rolling again. Even picked up a few bad habbits that I got to get past again!!!  But I will get back into the swing of things and hope to get me a exercise routine of soem kind started too.....The other day just out of the blue I realized I am turning into jello!!!! lol lol....I feel like the pillsbury dough boy! Any where you poke a finger on me it just sinks right in cause I have gotten so mushy every where! lmbo! Thanks for the offer on the guest house...Your such a sweetie! Maybe one month some of you guys could hook up and share a ride down this way and visit us for a meeting. I can handel at least 6 at my house or maybe a few more if anyone has an extra air mattess to bring. We would love to have yuns and I would not mind at all to put yall up if you want to come down to our neck of the woods.  We have several things to decide on how we are going to do things but I have even thought about us having a few extra meetings a month and meeting at the Colousium (sp). They do water arobics, have exercise equipment and all sorts of things. It's a bit for me to drive considering the price of gas now days. But once I go back to work I am thinking about getting Joe and I a membership there so we can try and go there a few times a week. If we use the one near his work we will get a discount because he works at the hospital so I might check into that one too. But Cindy told me that it only costs $5 each time you go to the Colousium so that wouldn't be too bad if I see that I can't make it often enough to have a memebership. Brenda & Cindy.....I am looking so forward to seeing the both of you Tuesday night....I am so excited about getting this started for all of us down this way..... Well I got to run....I promised myself I would get my closets and my freezer cleaned out today. I am almost done getting my house back together and cleaned top to bottom from where everyone moved out of my house. I been busy at it all week but it has been such a great week. It's been so quiet and peaceful with everyone gone! lol lol....I even got to go like 4 days without doing laundry!! That is a record for around here!!!! I hope you all have a great Saturday... Jan...Sorry I forgot to answer your question.... Yes I have heard from the girls....Things are going fair at Janets....She is still really upset trying to be strong for Mel. It's hard to tell someone to hang in there & etc at a time like this....And Janet is crazy about Mels mom so it's been really sad for her. Last time I talk to her they done a really strong dose of chemo on Mels mom....Think Janet said it would be several weeks before she could have any more cause they did such a strong treatment. Not sure how she is doing with it, I didn't get much time to text with either of them yesterday. I will text one of them and ask them for an update on things so I can post about it later tonight..... Please everyone keep the prayers going....Anyone that has dealt with Cance before knows it can be a long, rough and painful road for some!....Try to update tonight...Tammy~ammy

Jan - I so enjoy reading your posts.  I don't often reply, but love reading about what's going on!   You are so kind and caring to everyone, and I really appreciate you being there for us.   I can really see that you have God's love in you.   Thank you!
