WHATS HAPPENING SUNDAY

Wow no wonder kids say they are tired when they get home from school. Lol . I sat most all of the day Saturday in class with various teachers involved with this Spring conference with Master Gardeners. Don’t know that I learned anything that I didn’t already know . but it was enjoyable even if it were tireing.

Did find out that no one digs their cannas and don’t mulch them either. I thought I was being really brave by leaving them in the ground with six inches of mulch over them lol oh well none of them have ever left elephant ears in the ground tho which I do but I put at least 6 inches of straw over them . They couldn’t believe that they were still good after all of that, now wont I feel like a food if this year was too cold , straw or not. Lol

All in all it was a really nice day and really enjoyed it.

TRACI: well did you or were you able to find anything in the movie dept that was suitable ? Seems like even the kids movies anymore they have to curse or something in them. Hope you were able to find something.

VESTA: yeah I understand about getting busy but I feel like all of you are my friends and no matter how busy I get I cant turn all of you loose and not ever see you again, you know? There are so many of them that have come into our lives during the last 3 years and were here daily before they had their surgery and once they have surgery they never come back, Now I know they cant get that busy the day after surgery. And I can remember several that have done that. Really makes you wonder doesn’t it? I guess I wear my heart on my sleeve too much huh? Ive been accused of that. That is ok tho,

Yeah I recorded that show and was shocked to see myself and my sister Sugar on there.

If any of you recorded it ,in one scène they show a group of people at a St. Johns support group meeting while Alan was talking . and there on the first row  BIGGER than life was my sister, Sugar and myself   Lord I was big!!!! I don’t think I ever really realized how big I really was . I wish I could get that picture so I would never forget that.

BRENDA: first off congratulations on the news of getting to be a grandma again. That is just wonderful .I know you are very excited.

We were so very glad to get to meet you in person  at the meeting. It was great. Love both you and Randy.

Yes a party of us can be quite a challenge for a waitress and staff at a restaurant. But you know most really listen and get things right.

I have really enjoyed getting to know you and the emails from you I love. I really hope I have been helpful so you can see that yeah even tho they have altered our innards that we still are just people . lol

Someone once called us Hybrids lol

Yes sweetie , what isnt to like with you and Randy, just good people. How do you fault that?

BRITT: sweetie glad you came out with us afterwards too.  Yeah you are right you make your own party anywhere you go . lol.

I saw where you all did get to go to the Circus. I know that was loads of fun for you and your family. Isnt wls wonderful?

TAMMY: Yes please do get yourself back on track girl you were doing so great no need to stop now. You had the sleeve done right? Do you have plans to go back and get the rest of the rny done? Hopefully you wont have to to lose the rest of it. I know you can do it you just need to get your mind wrapped around it first .

Down here where we are we still haven’t gotten a snow . don’t know why , it keeps going around us above or below. Lol

That would be fun to come to see you for one of your meetings. Will have to see if I can get a group of us together and if someone has a van or something to haul us all in.

The exercise place sounds great. I wish we had something close to us so I could go to it.

I really need the exercise I know. I am so stiff with arthritis that it takes a couple of hours daily to be able to get straightened out.

So Melissas mom they are trying Chemo again? I thought the doctors had said that none of it would help and was giving her comfort measures only? I and I know everyone else is praying for her. Keep us informed ok?

AMANDA  G: what a wonderful post you wrote and a great one to end this post on.

To have someone say they can see Gods love in me IS the highest form of praise anyone, anywhere has ever given me.  Thank you sweetheart. Here is one of my special hugs going out to you this morning.

Where is Cadet Mo ? Wish you could come to a meeting in Springfield would give you one in person.

DID YOU ALL REMEMBER TO SPRING YOUR CLOCKS AHEAD??????

GOD BLESS

Hey Jan and All,           Just wanted to stop by and say Hi. Hope all are doin good.I am doin great.           I relized something today and had to share it with all my friends. My son took my oldest Grandson Shayne to the Dr. the other day and they said he weighed 47.4#. I HAVE LOSS MY GRANDSON AND MORE.I couldn't believe it. And then I thought I have loss a 50# bag of dog food! I can't even lift a 50# bag of dog food but I use to carry it every where I went. That's amazing to me.That is so cool.           Today I am off to the fourth B-day party this month. March is a really big B-day month for my family. We have 6 b-days and Easter this month. And I am proud to say that all the food and the cakes and the ice cream have not even bothered me. I really have no desire to eat it. That's crazy to hear but it's true. Amazing!           Well take care all. And hopefully spring will be here soon!!! God Bless, Tammy V.

My journey to live life to the fullest!!!

Hello Mo!

I just felt to jump in here this morning and say Hi..... I’ve not posted much in the past year even though I have been pursuing WLS. I had not told my family about my decision and didn’t think it fair they find out on the internet, so I have refrained from posting. Now the situation has changed and I feel at liberty to share with all of you. I feel like I know so many of you, but you know very little about me... I have updated my profile now, you might want to take a look see if you have time. I'm going to try and upload some pics of my family next.

Oh how much I have learned from all of you... Jan, you are the very best! How can I ever thank you enough for all the wisdom I have gleaned from you? How much fun I have had visiting you at your beautiful “gardens” and having you stay in my home! not to mention all the time you have spent writing back and forth with me! Traci? you seem so solid in your commitments, I’ve learned so much from you! Vesta? How wonderful you look in that red dress! I have enjoyed your post over the past year, when I first read your profile and looked at your pics and I thought... that’s my house she’s writing that from! My husband and I built a house that has the same siding and the same front door! I called my husband in to look at the pics... I truly love flowers too and have enjoyed what you have done in your yard! Wish we were close enough to meet each other. Lana? you are a joy, and inspiration to all that know you! Tamara? my goodness girl, just looking at you gives us all something to hope for! Connie, I’ve enjoyed the time I have gotten to visit with you, I’m in the second month of 6, Tammy? I truly enjoy reading your posts, how very “real” you are! Tammy V. I when I have lost weight in the past, I remember thinking 83 1# boxes of margarine! wow! Brenda N.? what fun it is going to be getting to know you.... Oh how I miss Janet and Mel’s post’s I have learned “muchly” from them too and am praying for Mel’s mom and the whole family, what heartache to go thru for them all!.... I’m so sorry I couldn’t mention all of you, you are so many in number! I have read nearly all of your stories and kept up just real regularly on all of the post over the past year. It’s been such a blessing to me!

I went to the dietician this past Friday and she did not tell me much of what I did not already know and that is largely in part to how much I’ve learned from all of you! How appreciative I am of each of you!

Well goodness! I’ve chattered here....... I’m going to get off here and hopefully I’ll be able to check in often now......

Blessing to each of you dear dear people!

bec

Afternoon everyone Yes, I did remember to spring forward my clocks.  I can feel it too.  I'm TIRED!!  We did find a couple things at the movie store.  One thing for me that I haven'****ched yet.  I plan to here in a bit.  I'm going to hit the couch and REST!  Jan:  I'm glad you had a nice time at your gardening class; but it sounds to me like you could've taught the class.  Okay.  I'm exhausted and need to rest. Have a great afternoon everyone.  I'm seeing sunshine in Sullivan, hopefully it's bright and sunny where you are too.

Jan, you are welcome.    I really meant what I said, and I was happy to let you know! Cadet is close to Potosi and DeSoto.  I don't know if you've heard of those towns or not.   If you aren't familiar with this area at all, we are basically 60 miles south of St. Louis, so really on the other side of the state from you.    If we were closer to Springfield I would definitely love to meet you and all the others who live in that area!  We do travel to Branson almost every summer for a little vacation.   : )   So you never know!

I think it would be neat to go to a garden show or conference, I've never been.  I would love to have a vegetable garden this year, it would be my first.  My mom is a great gardener, but I haven't even attempted it in my adult life.   I think I need a few lessons first.   I don't do well with my house plants, so I don't know if I'm cut out for gardening or not.   lol
