WHATS HAPPENING MONDAY

Sunday , beautiful, I worked outside quite a bit and planted some more seeds in the green house, when I got too tired I pulled my lawn chair out into the sun and went to sleep lol

No kidding it was almost 70 and the sun was shining. So very pretty , Thank you God for that beautiful day.

Not a lot to report except all the work I did in the flower garden…cutting and pulling up old stuff from there. Then carrying it to the burn area and burning it all up.

My lilies are starting to come up so is most everything else, the tulips are about 3 inches high, the daffodils look like they will be ready to sit buds on them soon. My coneflowers, black eyed Susan’s, and all the other things are starting to come up. I pulled back the mulch of leaves and they are there poking their heads up thru the dirt. Dependable little fellows they never fail to come up. I ordered some more perennials today. Those are plants and shrubs that keep coming back year after year. I like that in plants I don’t have to plant as much annuals for color then. True Perennials only bloom for about a month for the most part but if you by different ones you have something blooming all the time with them.

BRITT:  so glad you got you “nut” meds started again lol Don’t think I could take much of you off of them lol. Love you girl but you can talk like you said you are your own party.lol If anyone isn’t having fun around you it is their own fault isn’t it?  Take it easy on your self and if you get in a funk you know we are here willing to listen and step in with love and support when you need it.

TAMMY  V: WOWyou are doing great on the weight loss. keep up the good work, yeah it always seems to make it more of a reality when you can relate your weight loss to something, a bag of dog food, you say you cant lift that but you did day after day, no wonder your body hurt huh?

Isnt it great that you don’t want that birthday cake? Keep up the good work. Cant wait to see some new pictures soon. Ok?

Bec: hey it sure is good to see you on my post. Love it. So what family had you not told about your upcoming surgery? Your girls? So how did the family take the idea of you being little one day soon? And it will happen. Just you wait and see.

I feel like you are one of my dear friends too Bec. And we need to arrange some get to gether time soon. Lol

Are you painting anything pretty right now? Don’t worry about how long your post is, Janet use to worry about that and everyone loved to hear all she had to say. We all like being nosey lol and hearing all about everyones day to day life.

That is what this post is for to let everyone know what all you did today or yesterday as the case may be. Hope you will make us a daily happening with us.

TRACI: LOL  don’t know how much anyone would learn if I taught the class. Lot of the stuff I know is just learned by trial and error until I got tired of wasting money and bought some books lol and taking classes like this stuff Saturday.

Glad you found some movies for you and the kids.

Yep we had sunshine all day long.

AMANDA  G: hey girl you are over there where I was born and raised….Fredericktown? do you know where that is?  Be sure and let me know when you are coming to Branson I will meet up with you and if you want to come to one of our meetings , you arrange for your vacation to be including the 4th Monday of the months

Anyone can learn to garden if they just want to but it isnt easy. If you want to try get you a great big pot and plant a tomato plant in it this spring and try raising that for a starters.

Green thumbs aren’t born they are learned …

Today im going to meet Sugar over in Branson we are going shopping. Watch out Branson the sistas are on the hunt. Lol

Wish you all could join us.

GOD BLESS

Morning everyone I got quite a bit accomplished this weekend overall; but have a lot to do this week to get ready for next Sunday's family event here.    I have my grandbaby here today and my kiddos here; so will do what I can today.  Jan:  well girl, how do you think those folks teaching those gardening classes (or any other class) learned all they did?!  They read books too; but they also learned through trial and error!  I know many also took classes, but at some point, you have to just dig in (pun intended! ) and do it and learn.  Experience is the best teacher.  YOU could teach a gardening class Jan:  I know you could. Well, gotta run and feed some children.  Have a great day everyone!!

Good Morning Jan and Missouri Peeps! Wow, what a beautiful day it was yesterday!  Got up to almost 60 degrees here.  Suppose to be nice most of this week.  I am soooooooo ready for Spring!  Can't wait to see the blooms on the hydrangea tree my husband planted for me last year.  It bloomed last year but should bloom even more this year.  Jan, I will try and send you a picture of it when it has blooms on it. I am going to try and catch up this morning on my Beth Moore Bible Study on the book of Daniel.  Didn't get to do it on Friday.  I was a sub for the special education class at a local elementary school.  It was a great experience.  I love children and enjoy subbing.  I will say I would not want to sub for the special ed class every day.  There were about 10 children in the class.  They ranged from kindergarten to fourth grade.  There is one teacher with 3 para professionals (teacher's aides).  Some had mental retardation and others were down syndrome.   Most of them you had to take to the bathroom, clean them up, etc.  The para's did all of that.   Like I said, I enjoyed the experience but wouldn't want to do it every day.  I am going to remember all of them in my prayers. My kids are off this Friday then all of next week for Spring Break.  I am so hoping it is nice next week.  I need to figure out something we can all go do that everyone would enjoy.  Union City has The Human Body Exhibit.  I know there is a lot of controversy about it.  There was a big story on the World News a few weeks ago.  There are two companies going around the country that have these bodies on exhibit.  People are saying that some of these bodies are Chinese prisoners.  They say that neither the prisoners nor family gave permission to have these bodies on exhibit.  Everyone says the one in KC does NOT have any of these bodies and that all of the bodies on display were donated to science.  The local Catholic Church has denounced this exhibit.  I am not Catholic (I am Southern Baptist) but I too find this exhibit troubling.  Part of me would like to take my boys (age 17 and age 12) and another part of me isn't quite so sure about it.  What do you all think?  It would be a fantastic learning tool about the human body.  We believe the Lord made our bodies; however, it is just a temporary vessel our Spirit lives in.  When we die we really aren't in that old body anymore.....  Like I said I am conflicted.  I have spoken to my 12 year old.  He is like me not so sure if he really does want to go see it.  Not sure what my 17 year old thinks about it.  Haven't had time to ask him yet.   I'm going to pray about it and see what the Lord tells me.   Jan, how is the Carb Monster doing?  I have been fighting it and the Sugar Monster for the past two weeks and I have been losing the battle!  I stepped on the scale this morning and I have gained TWO pounds!  I am officially at my goal weight, however, was between two and four pounds below it.   Traci, I am going to read your post again about what you do and am going to start back on track TODAY!!  I also need to start back to water aerobics.  With it being so much warmer this week, I really have no excuse! I guess I will scoot.  Gotta go make my protein shake!  Hope everyone has a GREAT Monday! Love, Debbie D. P.S.  I deleted my first post because it all ran together...no paragraphs.  I am redoing it to try and fix it.  So if it still runs together.....I am sorry!

WOW Jan - Oh yes, I know where Fredericktown is!   My husband's dad's side of family is from there.  His grandma lives there now.   He and I actually met at college in Park Hills, which used to be called Flat River.   After we got married, we both taught school in the North County School District, his school in Desloge and mine in Bonne Terre.   We lived in Terre du La****il last summer.   His mom's side of the family is from the Patton area, south of Fredericktown.    He was actually raised in Ste. Genevieve county, and I lived a lot of my childhood in the Potosi area.   My dad is a pastor, so my family did live in a few different places in the state during certain years growing up, when he pastored other churches.   How long have you been away from Fredericktown?  Do you have lots of family still there?   It's a small world!!!

Hi Everyone! Just wanted to let you all know whats happening to me.  I have had some back problems and with my weight loss it has gotten worse.  I now have nerve impingement effecting my feet which has caused foot drop in both feet.  I had an emergency appointment with the Orthopedic neuro dr in Columbia Friday and planned on checking in with Bobbi then popping over to see Dr. Suttmoeller & Natalie then going to the mall.  All that changed with my appointment.  I had to immediantly rush back home to have another injection in my back and with orders that if I don't get feeling & movement back in my feet within the next 2 weeks I am going to have back surgery. So I am thinking positive thoughts and am not looking for surgery.  I was able to move my toes on my left foot up twice yesterday!  Just down a little as I thought with weight loss surgery I was supposed to be healthier - I am guess I am depressed. Got on the scales and am now at 160pounds... Take care, Shannon

Good Afternoon, Was up early and out to have an MRI on my right shoulder... it took 40 minutes under that thing! When she first put me under... boy oh boy was it close!  but I closed my eyes and started to pray that "clostrafobic" feeling would leave and it did, she put on some music and that helped alot, helped get my mind focused on something else.... I think every single muscle in my body decided to twitch... and then I got an itch..... oh dear!  I am praying that no surgery is necessary and I can regain the full use of my shoulder with PT.  Last July I pulled myself up on my husbands new tractor and injured it... then again in December I re~injured it... just has not done well since.  Lana, I know you have had rotator cuff surgery and from what I've read about your experience I don't think I want to go thru that... bless your heart. Jan, I've had great support from my husband and daughters concerning WLS but had not told my parents and siblings.   You asked about what I have been painting... yes, I have painted alot this past month... I had gotten a cast iron chair in the shape of grapes and vines... my brother had sand blasted it and I primed it last fall, well I got it out and painted it to match my fountain, and other pieces out side, I also picked up a concrete planter with grapes on it last fall for a whopping $5 (wasn't I blessed?) so I have painted it to match too.  I'm going to make a grouping out of them with heliotrope in the planter and a rug at the front of the chair with a concrete dog laying on the rug.  But the big project of late is... my dear sister had 86! yes I said 86! little figurines she puts out in her yard of  squirrels, rabbits, frogs, dogs, you name it and seemed like she had it, we repainted all of them this year with a fresh coat... we both worked for 4.5 days and still have at least 30 or more to go!  I'm happy for her to have them all looking nice but wow that's alot to maintain... she has collected them over the past 20 years.  My next project is going to be some new bird houses for my yard.  I am getting ready to take a 10 day trip to see my daughter in Texas... she is working on her Masters in History at Mid Western there and will have Spring Break next week.  She has a whole week of activities planned for us!  So have to get my dear hubby all set up with lunches and meals while I'm gone...  I had to snicker at him he said "Bec how do you wash clothes?"  Wonder what his clothes will look like when I get back ~tee hee Vesta, I am not very good at the pic thing but I will try and post a pic of my house so you can see how close it is to yours... or maybe if I can not get it uploaded I know I can send it to your e-mail address if you would like... looked like we had very much the same taste.  I can't wait till the day I can wear a pretty red dress!  I'm so very happy for you! Well goodness... what have I done again..... you fine people will be skipping right over my post for lack of time to read them!  and I'm quite sure I'm going to have many many more questions at time goes on... Blessing to each of you that read this today! bec
