WHATS HAPPENING TUESDAY

Whew I sure put a serious dent in the budget today. Kohls had so much on sale it was a sight, so did T.J. Maxx too. I found myself a new style jacket that really looks cute on me , no really it does. I was amazed that something could look like it was really made for my body type. Sugar tried them on and they didn’t look good at all.they were too short on her but they were just right on me. Got a new pair of black pants too. Found Joe some new shirts at Kohls. And then after all day shopping for stuff I went off and left my new stuff in Sugars car lol , talk about dumb. Just about home and Sugar called me and said guess what you left your cute little jackets and pants in my car. I almost turned around and went all the way to Clever to get them lol. Wanted to show Joe what I had found.

Wasn’t today just about as beautiful a day as you could ask for? And Tuesday  is suppose to be the same. Maybe spring is trying to make an appearance. But don’t get your hopes up too much after last year and that late freeze the first of May I don’t trust Mother Nature for sure. Lol

I have lots of impatients and Vinca up and growing in the greenhouse. But that is where they will stay for now, in the greenhouse. The greenhouse will be overflowing by the time I get ready to plant stuff outside. It was last year too.

I really run out of room pretty quick when I start transplanting to larger pots.

We are going to my brothers tomorrow or rather today , Tuesday that is when we are going .lol going to get a truck load of manure. Need to make several trips down there really and get probably 3 or 4 truck loads but will have to schedule it . Vesta if you are needing any he lives fairly close to you, He lives in Gainsville or outside of Gainsville rather. He has mountains of it and it is old and decayed and great for flowers and veggies.

Call me if you want to meet there some where , do you have a truck?

TRACI: yeah I know you are right and if I really wanted to teach a class I could would just have to pick one subject and stick with it. Lol other wise I would just be jumping around all over the place . I said if I could go back and live life over I would have been a landscape designer. I love doing that , I want workers for all the hard stuff I come up with but I can sure come up with the ideas. My husbands said I can see things that aren’t there and if he follows my directions it comes out really looking good.

Hope you had a good day with all the Children.

DEBBIE  D: good morning girl.  Oh yeah the hydrangea tree. I had forgotten about your tree. I hope it lives and thrives well. Yes I would love a picture of it.

I use to be a teachers aide in special education. Wow you talk about a hard job. But a great job too. Unconditional love given there. But it is also heartbreaking too.

I don’t know what I really feel about the Body exibit. As a nurse of course I don’t see anything wrong with study and learning but as a parent not sure I would have taken my kids to see it. Just not real sure what all they show and teach or anything about it.

Im getting control of the carb monster I think. Right now what I am doing is drinking protein shakes when I get that urge to snack and that stops it completely. Or eat a protein bar, that works too since it gives me the chewing I desire.

Have you been in touch with Bev lately? I hope you can get her going back to water aerobics with you too.

VESTA: When Alans program comes back on the place that Sugar and I are in the piece is the part where they are showing the support groups at St. Johns and she is sitting on the end and I am right beside her. Lord we look like big elephants. I paused that and showed Joe and he said Honey I don’t remember you being that big. Lol well I was.

BRITT: lord sweetie I really don’t want to get in your head then do I ? lol My grandmother use to say about this girl that talked a lot, that her tongue was tied in the middle and loose on both ends lol. Maybe that is what you need.

AMANDA  G: It has been since I was in high school since I have really been there. When I graduated and left there I never did come back because my mom and Dad moved to Arkansas so when I went back home after that it was where they lived.

I don’t have too many family members left there.  Huffmans, Darnells, do you know any of those names? Why did they rename Flat River ? That is weird.

Anyway I graduated from Fredericktown was a nice little town to grow up in. I don’t think it has changed a whole lot. I was back there about 10 years ago for my grandmothers funeral . She wasn’t living there when she passed away but wanted to be buried there next to my grandpa.

Seems like the world is always small when you get to talking to people  doesn’t it?

SHANNON : oh my gosh girl so sorry that you are having problems. Do you think that losing the weight changed your center of balance and threw all of this stuff out of whack?

I know my back killed me for quite a while after losing some weight, until I learned to walk again without staggering. Joe said I walked like someone drunk.

Will keep you in my prayers and hope that you don’t have to have the back surgery. You know that , as a nurse , you have seen not many back surgerys do a lot of good. Will hope and pray that you don’t have to go that route.

BEC: when will you know the results of the MRI on your shoulder? I surely do hope that the P.T. will and can help it. Anything to keep from having surgery.

So what do your parents and siblings say about the wls? Are they open to it or what?

You do such pretty painting that im sure all of what you are doing is so cute.

Wow that is a lot of pieces that your sister has in her yard lol , Joe would run over all of that . I have to put the things I do have in the flower beds so he will leave them alone.

Paul would probably do that too wouldn’t he?

I know you and your daughter will have a great time together. Wont be long before she is thru down there and be back home.

TRUDY: welcome back girl. I cant believe that some of you just haven’t been posting. I thought we had lost you all for ever. So now I know when there are only 5 or 6 post and you can see that 50 people viewed without posting that one of them was you. Shame! Just kidding we are so glad that you are back.

Now=== to your problem. I don’t think I have heard of an itchy scalp being a side effect of wls.  Anyone out there with an idea or that this has happened to also.

The amount of Carbs I think I was told under 20 a day? Is that right …Traci!!! Do you know???? I just try to keep it as low as possible and not eat anything im not suppose to We will try and see what we can find out about that for you OK? If no one knows we get hold of a dietician and see what she says.

I will email Margie and see what she says.

I know what you are talking about the boob or the lack there of. If it wasn’t for the skin I wouldn’t have any boobs at all that is all I pick up and put in my bra cup to fill them out lol.

Got oddles to do tomorrow….more work in the yard. I am working on my shade garden this year for sure. Was going to do that last year and didn’t get it all done.

Got an area that im planting full of hostas that I have to clear out a lot of junk shrubs….

GOD BLESS EVERYONE

Morning everyone I can't wait for the weather we're expecting today and tomorrow:  60's and 70's!  Squee!!!!!   My kind of temps.    My one daughter was not feeling well yesterday at all, I'm hoping she's better this morning and can go to school.  Today begins my week-long cleaning adventure on my house.  So I'll be uber busy with that.  I'm such a goof, when setting my alarm for this morning, I accidentally hit the clock part and didn't realize it and set my clock an hour ahead AGAIN so instead of getting up at 5am, like I wanted, it was really 4am.  I didn't realize this until I walked into the kitchen after my shower, and all those clocks said it was only 4:35.  Jan:  girl, come on over to my house, because my yard needs serious help!  We bought this house almost 3 years ago.  It's a slightly older home (about 20  years old) and needs landscaping help.  I do not have a green thumb in gardening.  My husband likes to do a veggie garden, but doesn't really have an eye for flowers and such.  I know what I like when I see it, but planning it out, when you don't really know much about plants and such, is tough.  So I've just been doing flower pots to give me color each year and leaving it at that until I can find time/money/SOMEONE to help me figure out what else to do.  We need to paint the outside this year and I'm hoping we can get a vinyl picket fence in the front too.  Then we can do some landscaping after that.  I need color with lots of FLOWERS!  Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning Jan and All, Have to get going today, Paul (my husband) has been cleaning up trees that have fallen or died this past year and needs my help today to  pull some branches that are hung up in the trees.  He broke a hose on his tractor and has to get that fixed first thing this morning... seems like it takes so long to get light out now...but love the extra light in the evening! Yes, my sis, puts all her yard ornaments in flower beds too... these dear husbands can't be trusted!  Mine for sure would wack them with the weed eater and I would be painting them again in a month! tee hee...  I can't wait till it is time to put all the stuff back out... it is so much prettier to look at than the bare ole winter scene... I am about half way packed to go see my daughter... yes, it would be so nice if she comes back here to do her doctorate at UMKC, she had already been accepted there when she recieved this assistanceship at Mid Western in Texas.  She teaches 5 undergrad classes in turn for her Masters... It's been just great! And she is learning so much in the teaching...it's a good thing we have unlimited minutes! ~ha  The classroom is NOT what it used to be! ~ha  burger chomping, cell phone ringing, late students abound... ~ha  This program was just too good to pass up.  She is getting ready to start her thesis. (sp?)  Ok I'm going to quit on my fav subject and not bore you dear ones to death! I'm not sure when I will find out about the MRI... I will have to put off any decision about it till I get back and then I won't let it interfere with the WLS in any way... I have just worked too hard to get where I am... (where ever that is).  Dr. Hoehn's office will submit my request now and I will see if I'm denied again...  I'm working on the 6 month supervised diet just in case... Vesta, I sent you some pictures I hope you were able to open them.  Sorry about the tractor in some of them but it did show a bit of the landscaping so far....  I hope to get more done this year....we will see. I will work on getting some pictures in my profile when I get back from this trip.  I don't know alot about it and just "luck in" when I get something to work.  I have pics on CD's so will try and get them to upload. Well friends, be blessed today! bec

Good moring OH peeps!  It's been a while since I have posted.  I have ran into more problems health wise when will this ever end? I started back to work last Tues. my first day back sine my surgery on Jan. 21st.  I was feeling pretty good that day, well that evening I landed in the hospital....  I was on my period and it was so heavy I was using 3-4 overnight pads an hour and it got to the point where when I would get up from sitting it would just gush out of me and at one point was running down my leg....(TMI i'm sorry) well anyway since I am anemic I called this service called Ask-A-Nurse and explained what was going on.  She wanted me to call 911 she thought I was hemoraging or something.  Well, I didn't want to go to that extreme so I went to the ER myself.  I was told not to drive but my roommate was sick with the flu and couldn't take me so I had no choice but I made it there.  My hemoglobin was low and every time they took it, it dropped so they wouldn't let me leave.  The hospital was full no beds so I had to spend the night in the ER until like 11am the next morning when they got me a room upstairs.  They gave me fluids and meds to try and stop the bleeding and it finally worked.  Today is agin my first day back to work.   I am so frustrated that things keep popping up and going wrong I just want to feel good again.  I go to Sedalia this afternoon for another follow up appt. with Dr. H I have a lot of muscle weakness in my arms and legs I know I should be exercising but I am so tired all the time and don't feel well most days.  I can't get in all my vitamins especially the ones I have to crush cause I put them in SF pudding and then I gag and throw up don't know why?  I think once I am able to swallow pills and can take them naturally I think I will do better.  Even the liquid stuff makes me barf! It's been 2 months since my surgery and I sure thought that I would feel better then I do now, I must be doing something wrong?  I get so bored with food therefore I get where I don't eat and I will go all day without eating until I can tell my blood sugar dropping and feel shaky and sick then I will eat something.  I can't wait until I can go on the reg. diet and can have more things to eat maybe then I won't get so bored? Well, I just wanted to pop in and let you all know I'm still alive and hanging in there. Have a great day...... Bev
