Update : On My Psych Eval... Need Opinion.. Is This Normal?

I took JJ to his therapist and left a message before leaving for the Psychologist to call me. She saw me in the waiting room ( looked @ me 3 different times making eye contact ) She didnt return my call, but had the receptionist call  ( so I thought she might just be busy ) and make an appt for me to come in a week from this Weds., to discuss her report? Is this normal? I know I am anxtious, but now i am nervous and i dont want to be making a big deal out of nothing. I just have a fear of rejection. I really need this surgery and would be very devastated if i wasnt able to get it. I know honestly my life depends on it. Can someone please help settle my nerves? I am going to call daily to check on cancelations, although the receptionist said she would put me on the list. It can't hurt, right? Thanks for listening... ~*Lo~*

You have had more trouble with this therapist...almost seems as though she is trying to drum up business by making you crazy    LOLOL.  You have to remember she sees a lot of people in the course of a week...the chances of her placing you right away are slim unless you develop a routine with her...not defending her at all....but that is probably what happened.  I didn't have any of the issues you had...didn't you say she had never done one of these before?  Maybe she thinks she is supposed to talk to you about it....my doc just did the report and faxed it to Dr H but he has done hundreds of them so he knows the protocol.  Maybe she's embarrassed because she hasn't seemed to know what she's doing on this and she's supposed to be the professional.  I wouldn't worry about it.  Don't cause yourself undo stress until you know what's going on.....i'm sure everything will be fine.

I had to go in and discuss my test results with my therapist, i put it down to the fact that medicare was paying so they wanted to get at least two visits paid for. the second visit i was there maybe 2 minutes , he said you are ok and i think you would be a good canidate for the surgery. good luck and he said i will fax this to Dr. H. but i had to call him 3 weeks in a row to get it to Dr. H. lol I for some reason think all of these people try to stress you out no end just to see how you will react. ....

Jan, i think u hit it dead on the nose! I think she is trying to get every penny she can out of Medicare and drive me nutz in the process. I am going to ask for a copy and fax it myself! I was told that I have a right to have my own copy. Or would it be weird for me to fax it! I actually am going to watch them fax it! I am going to make up an excuse that I am keeping a journal with pictures and want to take pictures of the faxing, lol. Yeah, so they might think I am nutz but so what!? right? Atleast, I know it is getting done and then I will take a picture of the confirmation letter lol. Whatever it takes, lol! ! Does anyone think I shouldnt call EVERYDAY to see if anyone has canceled?
