the past three days I've developed a terrible cough.  I feel great, but cough my head off.  I went to the dr. today and got a shot in the hinny and some doxycycline antibiotics & Tussy Pearls for the cough.  No fever or anything, just a bad cough.  My surgery is only 7 days away (next Monday) so please remember me in your prayers.  I have a rare lung disease and my lungs have a hard time shaking colds- Plus, my goodness, how could I ever do another 2 weeks of liquid diet?  This deep coughing is sure gonna hurt after surgery!

I've done sooo good to stay healthy since Jan. and now that my weeks almost here...bam!....some bug got me!

Please remember me, Brenda Nutt

I sure will pray for you , you sound like me two weeks before my surgery i developed a horrible kidney infection that antibotics didnt want to get rid of , I just knew Dr. H wouldnt do the surgery, I called them and they said that as long as i wasnt running fever they would deal with it and if i still had it when i got there would but me on an antibotic for it in my IV. i didnt so everything was ok.  The worst part about having a bad cough would be the pain of trying to not cough after surgery.  will pray our hearts out for you that you will be well and get your surgery Monday. Did you go down to you moms this week end? love and hugs. Jan

Thank you Jan- you are a good friend to me.  Was nice to visit with you sister 'Sugar' a few minutes ago.  I remember you telling me what a scare you had with that kidney infection and your surgery date.  IV meds. are so much better than pills it seems...

Lets hope my antibiotic works fast!  The Tussy Pearls will be my friend for coughing...  If this turns into a cold, it will take me about 2 months to get over it-colds go bad on me and linger forever once they settle in.  I also have inhalers and bought some Musenex...I'm loaded for bear! hahaha

I went to Mom's for 2 days, she seems to be doing well and happy.  My brother and family had the little pre-schoolers practicing their baseball skills in the front yard. Whadda hoot to watch them play.  If one gets lucky enough toactually hit the ball off the Tee...they ALL go where ever the ball goes, even the base runner!  Little fellers sure were having fun out there.  Mom is a huge baseball fan and she just died laughing at those little boys.  Did my heart good to see and hear her laugh so much.

If the entire world would stop burning leaves it would sure help my breathing...  I love the smell, but it rips me up.

I sure went through so bad rain in Clinton today, turned dark and rained so hard I thought I was going to have to pull over and stop there for a while.

Good night- Much love going out to all-

Dear Brenda, You are in our prayers. We are claiming complete healing for you!!! I just wanted to tell you that I, too, got sick about a week before my surgery-and I called up to the Bariatric clinic and they said to come on up (is 4-5 hr drive) and that morning they would determine if I could have surgery. I was so scared because I had a bad cold and a cough too-and I met with the anesthesiologist and he told me that it was HIS job to breathe for me during the surgery and that I would be okay-so I am praying the same outcome for you-that the worst of it will be over with! I pray that you get peace of mind too-because I do remember being so upset that it might not happen and I had worked so hard that I didnt want a delay!!! I just wanted to share that-and I will keep you in thought and prayer! Love, Janet

Thank you for sharing that experience..it makes me feel better.....  I am not running a temp this morning, but my ears are starting to tickle deep down in them and I'm sneezing just ever so often.  I don't know if that means the medicine is making the crud come up and out, or if it's breaking up in my chest or just what.  I'm just trusting the Lord to have His will in my life- but hoping I get what I want....but if it's not to be, I know God has my best intrest in mind.

How did you do post op with a cold?  Did it hurt your belly to cough and sneeze?

Thanks, Brenda - who is laying low and resting.

Hi Brenda, I would be a liar if I said it didnt hurt post op to cough-I just did what so many others do, and held a pillow across my tummy. I dont remember coughing any more or less than normal, however. I am praying for you. Hope your better soon!! Love, Janet

Hey Chri, Nope, I'm still suffering with a terribly deep cough.  So tomorrow I'll go for another stinging shot in the hinney.  I wish the doc would put me on a abc pack, but now sure that is what I need, he knows best.  I don't usually ask for antibiotics till the last resort, but this time asked for them right off the bat.  I felt more relieved when I talked to Margie tonight.

How are you doing????

Good night all,

Brenda
