Ok after a little over 4 months out I went from a size 30 down to a size 22....I bought a skort (shorts that have a skirt like thing over them so they really look like a short skirt) anyway I got them at a garage sale yesterday really cute didn't think they would fit yet but they do so I was happy but when I looked in the mirror I have fat/some loose skin around my knees and I was wondering if I started doing some major exercise with machines like at the gym will some of that excess fat come off?  I can't stand the excessive fat hanging it bothers me a lot.  I didn't think it would or I didn't think I would have that much but after losing 112 pounds in 4 months I have more then my share I think? LOL....  I feel like I have gone through a lot to lose this weight and I want to look good, hey I'm 40 and single so I really need this...LOL  If exercise will help my flab then I will do it or if I have to have plastic surgery I will do that too but it will take longer since insurance won't pay for it.

Bev, what you have is excess skin. Excerise will only help miniumal amount but its not able to snap back like it was. Its lost his electicity. I think that is how you spell it...My sister is sitting with me here now and she had a tummy tuck. They took off 13lbs of excess skin from her from hip to hip. That is alot of skin, skin does not weight much. She did ok with the surgery and doing great now.. Iam posting some pictures of her and I that we took today...Keep up the good work and dont worry so much about your excess skin. You're in better health now girl...I to will be having my plastic surgery end of this summer or fall...I to have alot esp on my back where its making my back very uncomfortable....God Bless..Craig Lee

I beg to differ with Craig a little! He is right in saying that it is skin and it has stetched but it does still have some elasticity to it and will snap back some...the more and harder you work it, the more it will go back. I am quite a bit older than you and mine has gone back alot. Not all the way but much better than it was. I have talked to personal trainers that have differing opinions about it, but all have said it will help some to exercise. I was doing  water aerobics everyday, until the past month and I have slowed down to 3-4 days a week.  But I can see all the difference in the world in my skin. I even have been targeting the worse spots with extra workout and it does help. Besides, even if it did you no good at all skin wise, it will help in everyother way! I am stronger and feel so energized when I work out.  Just my 2 cents worth! Good luck with it all and congrats on the great weight loss! How much more do you have to go?
