4 days post op lap band--Just want some new friends!!
Hi everyone:
I was recommended to this site by the Dr. that did my pre-surgery psych eval, and I must say what a blessing his recommendation was. I am so anxious and scared and......At any rate, I would like to join in, ask some questions, and hopefully offer some support and help a little later on down the road. It was quite shocking today to step on the scale and find that with my pre-op diet and this first four days of post-op clear liquids, I have lost 12 lbs. I have read a lot of posts that are talking about waiting 2-4 months. WOW. I have Medicare from a burn injury 8 yrs ago, and went thru a facilitator I found online called Beliteweight.com, and I went from med. questionaire to today, literally in about a month. More later.......
Hi , I had my lapband surgery in September 06. I have been very happy with it. I would be glad to help you and try to answer any questions you may have. You should lose some weight the first couple of weeks and then it will probably level off until you start getting fills and get some restriction, which sometimes takes a while. Everyone is different. Just let me know if you have any questions or if I can help. Sherry
Just wanted to say hi! Congrats on the surgery and weight loss! Remember that the first 6 weeks is for healing. I had my surgery in 04 and most of my weight came off in the first 6 months. Everyone is really different. I still have over 100 pounds to go, but I need to get back on the bandwagon! I have atleast maintained an over 100 pound loss. This makes me happy! Best wishes.

Hi there~
I just wanted to WELCOME you to our MO Board... I think you will find some wonderful people here. I didnt have the lap band-but I would still love to get to know you. Jan C does a daily post called Whats Happening and then whatever day it is follows-and a lot of us post on that daily, so I would like to invite you to join in and let us get to know you. We are like a big ol' family here-and we are supportive no matter what surgery you have....its the same feelings before going in and the same accomplishments through out, right? I wish you loads of luck and if you ever need us, please let us know. Take care, Janet
