WHATS HAPPENING WEDNESDAY

Today was a running day. I didn’t get but very little work done at home or on the rental.Joe did but not me lol

I ran , or drove, everywhere , picked up my pain meds, drove to Branson to home depot and bought all sorts of things for the rental. A new tub surround, green board to put on the walls in the bath, plain sheetrock for the ceilings in the kit and hallway. All new plugs and switches and covers. All sorts of things , good thing I have a credit card lol

Tomorrow morning the new big big super walmart that is on highway 65 in Branson opens. Suppose to be the biggest one there is. It looks huge from the outside.

Hopefully they will give some of the grocery stores a run for their money on prices.

 

Tried to find some annuals to plant in some planters and guess I am too late , two of the nurserys are closed down already. Good grief spring isnt even over yet.

Forgot to go by the grocery store and get some food, I will be having company for a few days and need to cook them something . I forget that others get hungry. Lol

Think I will make  some chili , maybe a meat loaf. Maybe beans and ham …

 

 

 

DEB   M::::: that honeysuckle sure smells good doesn’t it? I love it but it can get to be a nuisance if not put where it can be kept  under control.

NUTTI:::::fortress of evil. How cute. Sounds about like most jobs with the stress and stuff. At least most of the jobs I had during my working years. I did find out that last year when I went back to work for awhile that the stress wasn’t there but I think that is cause I knew that I could leave and not come back if it got to me lol makes a difference I think.

You are doing fantastic on your weight loss , keep up the good work girl.

AMY:::::: poor girl now your gall bladder huh? It is pretty normal to have gall bladder trouble after big weight losses. I was lucky and had mine out a few years ago..so didn’t have to worry about that.

Hope all goes well with that. Are you scheduled for surgery yet?

 

Your garden might be that it has gotten way too much rain. You think?

Mine is so wet I cant even get into hoe the weeds.

Laminate flooring is pretty cheap check with Lumber Liquidators.com they usually have some on sale for less than a dollar square foot.

That is if you have someone that could put it down for you but then if you by carpet it has to be installed too. So no different.

I don’t know any other brand but Preen. Cant believe they didn’t have any. It is in a yellow package. I buy the big big boxes. Lowes also has it. So does Home Depot. Anywhere that has a lawn and garden section should have it.

 

Yes I know what Quince bushes are. Hard to describe here but go to google and put in quince bushes and it will bring up web sites with pictures of them. Read about them and then you can decide if you want them or not.

VESTA:::::sounds like you are just totally stressing out over your son and those kids. I know it has been quite a shock to you but things aren’t always what they look like you know. Take it easy and just be there if he needs you and things will start calming down soon.

I agree with you about the schools , I know I  have said many times that if I had kids now days I would home school them some way or the other. They have such good school books and work for home schoolers now. You can register them into a system and join other home schoolers on outings and stuff so they still get people contact just on a more strict base.

So what did you find out today from the Surgeon?? Hope everything is ok.

LOL I don’t blame you for making the kids pay for the exterminator. I hate when fleas get in a house it is miserable .

My whole house is sage green since I have such a small house makes it appear larger.

And so I decided to do the same in the rental that way I can keep paint on hand and don’t have to have several different colors.

 

I tell you what you don’t see many little cars at used car lots seems everyone is trading in their trucks for the little car.

I love my truck tho and on the highways we get 25 miles per gallon and some of the little cars don’t get much more than that.

You and Bec have  me curious what book are you all talking about??? Sorry if that is nosey that is just me miss nosey butt. Lol

Isnt right and I think all the good people in the world need to stop shrugging shoulders and saying well what can you do. That is how we got where we are now. ANDREW:::: Can you believe tomorrow is Wednesday already? Geeze wow.

I guess I need to go back to the grocery store tomorrow. I don’t think I have much in here to feed anyone, I forget that other people cant live on a protein drink 3 times a day lol

Anyway I need to pick up some linoleum or tile or what ever for the laundry room. . Joe has the floor fixed and all nice and sturdy. Feels great now to walk across it.

 

Yep we can go for a walk each morning to get ourselves woke up and going that way will be before the heat of the day sets in. Are you an early riser?

I use to before I got fat, walked daily 5 miles a day in less than an hour. Fast walking believe me lol

Yeah the extra water keeps me from wanting other things that I don’t need..

 

 

 

 

ANGIE:::: Yep born and raised in Fredericktown. Left there tho when I graduated out of high school and have only been back two or three times since.  My mom and dad left there right after I graduated and bought a resort in Mountain Home so didn’t have reason to go back unless deaths or class reunion. Lol.

My maiden name was Darnell,  both the name s you said sound familiar. But you have to remember that has been a long long time ago lol shussssssss don’t tell anyone that I said I was old lol

Good Morning Y'all,

Got another busy day ahead of me so I thought I'd post now before I went off to bed.  I have to run a few errands this morning to get ready to leave early in the morning,  we are gonna try and leave here by 5am and head down to farmington to pick up the  fil and hopefully leave there by 6am, Susan is gonna get him all signed out this morning and finish getting his clothes packed and all, we'll pick him up some breakfast on the way,  we want to try and be at the forsyth nursing home by 11am so they can start getting him checked in before lunch,  not sure how long its gonna take to get him checked in and settled that way we can get over to Jans in the early afternoon and hopefully help out a bit with whatever needs to be done.  

Jan can ya believe the time has gone fast hasnt it?  We'll give you a call from the nursing home so you'll know we are at least in town.  Dont you dare worry about cooking to much, something easy and quick will be just fine with,  bowl of chili or whatever is easy is all we'll need.  Im bringing my protein so I can make a few shakes and stuff and a few protein balls, thats about all i'll need  lol.  I'll email you our cell phone number just so you have it.  Can't wait to get there, we are so anxious to see you both and the house!!

Good morning Jan and board..well my daughter and husband bought our log home I am so glad I can still see all the work I did here flowers and etc...I dont dread moving so bad now...we about have the house ready in town, it looks pretty nice..I am real proud of it..Jan save me some seeds...lol..... there is no flowers in the yard at all, so will put some out this fall.    I am trying to quit worring so much about my son as he seems to be doing ok with everything, it was just such a shocker.... Andrew sounds like you have got everything ready for the big move..I am so proud for you and Susan, it will be great having Joe and Jan for neighbors, I still plan to come down and visit soon. It is so good to see some of our old friends back on the board, stay with us guys, you were missed..and I love reading all  our many friends writeings....have a wonderful day.....vesta

Hey sis, who might we be kin to? lol!!! The water park with Kenan was great. We arrived around 10:30 and left at 6 and then went to the movies and saw the new Indiana Jones. We had a grand day! Even if we didnt get home until 11PM and i am soooooo sore from climbing all those steps to the tops of all those slides. Over and over again! lol I came down the tallest one only once...that is a lot of steps!!! But lots of fun too. He and spent alot of time just floating around the lazy river. He is a special grandson and alot of fun to be with. I told him I was getting kinda old for that kind of stuff and he said that "you don't  act old and that is cool!" lol...so I guess I am the cool grammy. It is such fun being able to enjoy my grandkids. WOW moments everywhere I turn.

Still no van. I had one of the dealers call me yesterday and said he had looked all over St Louis but hadnt found one yet. He said he would exhaust every avenue he has to find one by the weekend. lol

So we will see. Does anyone out there have a good low mileage 8 passenger van for sale?

Morning all....last night was rough but today is anew...the birds are chirping and the sun is trying to shine! I probably need to go see my doc today but I think I will wait and see the doc I have to see Friday, she's more likely to understand what all is going on. JAN...I have some old whiskey barrels, cut in half of course. You think those would contain the wild honeysuckle with an occasional cutting back? If so, where would I cut on the main plant to get new ones started and should I wait for fall? Yes, they smell lovely! I wanna get them closer to the house. Like by my kitchen and bedroom windows. Did you get to look at the other pictures that were with the pic of the honeysuckle? They are all of my property. Once I got to the honeysuckle I just couldn't stop...lol There are all of my walking path. The hard part is keeping it mowed!, especially in this rain!  I haven't got all the photos up yet but theres about 10 so far. My computer is too slow. I think I have 10 more to go. Hey...got a call yesterday that Wendy is starting to have some contractions and that we could have a new baby anytime within the next 2 weeks....lol Jason was a little excited when he called! I told him to have Wendy take it easy and let that baby stay in there for as long as she could.  Coming early now isn't a bad thing but the longer she can stay in the oven the better off she will be in the long run. Other baby news, Nicole is starting her 2nd trimester and seems to be doing fine...thank the good Lord! Well, I think I need to go lay back down. I'd like to ask that anyone that comes across this post today to toss a prayer or two my way...sure could use them...tomorrow will be a better day!! Love u all...Deb M

Morning Guys ~n~ Gals.... It's a beautiful morning down here in the bootheel.....Yesterday was really nice too....Was hot, but not with all the humidity, so it was a beautiful day out..... Well after having to cancel two days last week while I was able to be at home, that darn army recruiter showed up yesterday while I was gone..... I wanted to be here to hear first hand what all was said! But he came and my son is even more excited now! And this moring I am taking him running to get some paper work he needs to get started....This afternoon the recruiter is coming to take him to do some kinda pre-test, I think he called it ASFAB or somthing....Then he is setting things up and in a few weeks he is going to take him down to Ark somewhere to do a 2 week course for a advanced GED course to get his GED....Then he will take his real ASFAB. Once this and the paper work we are starting today is done, he will set up his date for his basic training....If it goes as he hopes it goes, Bubba will be gone for basics by the end of summer.....His basics will probably be in S.Carolina...... I guess on one will get Christmas this year cause one way or another if he does all this and accomplishes making it thru basics....I WILL BE GOING TO S. CAORLINA for his graduation!!! And with the way gas is and our car situation I know it's going to cost me out my butt lol lol...  My emotions are so out of whack at the moment I don't even know how to feel.....So I have decided to just hold my breath till I see that it's all a go for sure and he has made it thru all he has to do to actually be in.....But he did change his mind some....He ended up going for Army National Gaurds instead of going full Army...But that still means there is the worry of him going off to fight! But he can choose to be closer to home to go to college and do his civilian work..... Oh well off to something less worrying.... The Bootheel WL Buddies meeting was last night.....I had a friends daughter staying with me so she went with me...Good thing too or I would have been setting there alone.... I had hoped so much to get to meet the new gals that were wanting to come to the meeting, but maybe things will go better next month for everyone and they can make it then.... It did give me a day out of the house because we are down to one car, and with gas being so high I didn't want to make the double trip to the Bluff because it's aprox 30miles from Campbell....So I went in to work with Joe, he leaves at noon, and I just stayed in the Bluff. I spent a few hours at the hospital because one of my kids couins on their dads side had her 4th baby yesterday....So I hung around while she had it and go to see it right after it was born....Then went to see a friends daughter that lives up in the Bluff and spent a few hours with her and her family.. I stayed at the Cafe till about 7pm and figured by then if anyone was coming they would have done been there...So I went back to the hospital to see the new momma and get me some new baby girl sugars... Phoebe (the momma) is kinda like one of mine....I have known her since she was about 2-3 yrs old and her and my daughter are really close....So I was tickled to have the chance to be there...I got to change the babies first diaper and feed her too....New babies are so exciting and such a joy...But boy am I gald it's not me lol lol lol.....4 has been a plenty for me and then the Princess has spent so much time with us due to her mommas health issues that she thinks she's one of ours too lol....  Our new grand baby will be here in aprox 3 months so we will be adding to the addition. But I'm ready for them all to get settled and do their own thing and let Joe and I just enjoy being Nannie and Papaw for awhile....." Joe ask me the other day.....What's the deal about our house??? "......   Because not only will the kids not leave and stay out but we have at least 3 kids that want to come live with us right now!!!!! One is his youngest....she has been hinting that she would like to move back in...Her and her mom have been doing better but for some reason she thinks she might prefer to live here after the baby instead of with her mom........Hummmmmm....that would mean 2 more in the house!!!! Then there is Bubbas girlfriend....She has done moved in with her uncle because of the living conditions at her house, but when she is 17 she wants to move in with me, even if Bubba's going to be gone off to school and not going to be here......And then there's another girl that is 15 that has been living with another family memeber for aprox 3 years due to the crappy home life with her mother.....She's not real happy where she's at and keeps talking to me abou tit and hinting that she would rather live with Joe & I..... So between our 4, the grand kids, all the kids friends that are in and out and staying over here and there and the ones that are wanting to move in.....Joe is wondering if I need to change room deoderizers or somthing lol lol lol....He thinks there has to be something that is attracting them.. LMBO!!!!!!!  Well I have to get off here and get dressed to take Bubba to get copies of the stuff he needs and get his direct depostit set up for the darn Army stuff....So I will catch you all later.... If I can find time I will be on again later to read more of the posts and maybe post a lil more... If I don't make it back....Please keep me in your prayers tomorrow.... I will be traveling tomorrow.....Thurs is my apt with Dr. Scott in St.Louis. I'm praying that he thinks I have lost enough to have my other surgery.. I know it's about time to get the hernia took care of cause it's been bothering me quite a bit...But his original plan was to do the tummy tuck when he does the hernia....SO PLEASE PRAY I HAVE LOST ENOUGH FOR THE TUCK!!! I want so much to get them both done at the same time !!! I am soooooo ready to get rid of this spare tire I am toteing around lol lol lol....And I want it done and out of the way so I can get back on my feet...If all goes well I hope to go to nursing school next year...And I would like to be wrapped up with all the surgery stuff and have all the weight off of me as I can so that it will be easier on me to be on my feet and all..... Good Morning Jan and OH Peeps~

Yesterday was a busy day to say the least. I went to the surgeon, he wanted to do an ultrasound-but the soonest they could get me in was in the afternoon, so I went to the motel to do Megans laundry for her, then my mom watched the boys while I went for my test. They should be calling me sometime real soon. He said that more than likely, I just bruised my insides or I am feeling it from my back-because I had no red or inflammed areas (in front), but a lot of bruises and swelling in my back-but he wanted to check it out to be on the safe side. I like safe LOL....

Megan and Aaron have taken the laundry position at the motel for the summer. They do the laundry and it pays for their rent. I go in and help them on the days they are both working or whatever-and they just pay for my gas-I dont want them to pay me-its my way of helping contribute to helping them. So, Im down my extra income, but my dad has a couple of booths at flea markets and so he said I could put some of my things in them and I am going to be selling some of my nicer clothing on Ebay or whatever and try and make some extra money that way.

When we got home, Mike pulled in the driveway literally right behind us, and he came in and we called his dad, talked to him for a bit and then headed outside to finish the pool....OMG-Im so glad I wasnt IN the pool WITH Mike, because not only was there a trantula the size of Godzilla in there, but there was a 2 ft black snake stuck in the deep end too!!!~ ARGH So we finished draining the pool AGAIN, after Mike got the wild kingdom out of there and tonite we will get it done. Told him IF he doesnt do it, Darrel and I will do it, snakes or not. I will just put on the sump pump and let it get stuck in there..... So after he was done with that, we ate dinner and then Mike and the boys played baseball while I planted my strawberry plants and re-potted 2 of my plants that had outgrown their old pots (prob a year ago-LOL) then we all 4 walked around and collected fireflies for Jons little net cage. After we had about 10 of them, we sat on the porch swing and watched them. It was so relaxing. Just what the dr. ordered.

Today I am helping the kids out with laundry again, but I dont have to be there as long as yesterday because Aaron will be able to take over at 1. So, just 2 hours. Told my mom I would help her weed if my back/tummy were okay and then I am coming home to get my stuff marked for the flea market so we can get it loaded in there on Friday. Mike, the boys and I are camping out on Friday night, in our yard-LOL....and having a campfire. The boys are excited, will see how it goes. Sunday afternoon we are having a BBQ out here for Fathers Day. We were going to be up at Stockton camping, but we have decided to save the money and go with another couple and their kids in a couple of weeks instead.

Anyway, I better get this finished and get the rest of the laundry done and chores and get ready to go.

**Jan-chili or meatloaf sound real good-when did you say dinner was? LOL...It would be easy to feed Andrew-just throw him a shake. I hope that you guys will have a good visit (I know you will). Cant wait to hear about it. I know they will LOVE living next door to you.

Please, your not being nosey. If it were a secret-wouldnt post about it for everyone to see, would I? LOL...Bec emailed me about a wonderful book she said helped her through some really hard times and she thought of me and if I could find it, she knew that I would get something from it too-its called Streams in the Desert. Well, I not only found one copy, but I found two-and the only thing is that I bought volume 2, and she has volume 1 and 2. Now I need to find volume 1. I had bought the first one, and it was laid on my heart to go back and get the 2nd one-and I thought it was for Bec, but since she has both, then its for someone else. Will have to wait and see who its for. Its like a devotional for each day of the year and it is so good. I have already learned so much and gotten so much out of it, that I cant believe it. She says that volume 1 is even better, more personal, so I cannot wait to get volume 1 as well. These books are so old that volume 2 was copyrighted in 1969 AND the original price was $2.95. I paid $3 a pc for them at a used book store in Webb City. When we were in Branson and Springfield, I tried to find it-and it wasnt at any of the book stores we went to-

**Sheila-I got your message. Yes, your grounded!! Can you maybe call the Prosecuting Attorneys office or Mayor or SOMEONE to ask why this POS keeps getting delays? Its not YOUR fault that he isnt getting representation. He should not keep getting away with extensions if he isnt doing what he requested the extension for, right? Maybe bring it to someones attention higher up and let them make some calls and end that crap in the bud. I totally understand what your going through. Most POS like that, just keep falling in pig *hit and come out smelling like roses. I am keeping you in my prayers, not just for this situation, but also for your implant and that your health AND sanity will be okay. Love you too!!

**Deb M-Im sorry about your taste. That stinks, to say the least. I hate it when I hear your feeling puney, because when your feeling good-I love hearing your stories about the family, hubby, the pups, the kids and just life in general. You have a special way of telling things and I have always loved that about you. Ecspically love the story of the mouse and you shooting it in the ceiling-LOL....Mike bought me a 9 mm, and I am a pretty good shot, if I do say so myself! When I got done with my hunters course and graduated, he bought me a camo shotgun-so I could go turkey hunting with him....its so nice. Im pretty good with it too-but prefer the 9 mm, its not as bulky. Now he has to give me something else to learn to shoot with for deer hunting season. He has had me shooting his cross bow too-but that thing is ackward. Anyway-sorry to bore you with that story, but it made me think of you and the mouse in the ceiling till you shot it-LOL.... YES I would LOVE to help you celebrate your 25th!!!! I couldnt remember if it was the 20th or 25th, I just knew it was a really special one coming up. Let me know. Love you and I am praying for you. **Vesta-Im so glad that you will be able to keep up with the log house and all the flowering work you did. The log house sounds beautiful. Its the only thing I would ever leave the house I live in for-is a log one. I love the way they look!! Are you going to be in town in West Plains?
