~Pre-ops, do you have an angel? Post-ops do you want to be an angel?~

Hi Peeps, We have so many pre-ops here and some are sliding under our radar without an angel-and then we are waiting until they get in here to post for themselves how the surgery went.....so I thought I would get this post up. IF you are pre-op and you dont have an angel yet-and you would like one, please post and let us know. Your angel will be someone your loved ones will contact after the surgery to let us know it went okay and they will get in and post for you....and some are just there to help you out with answers and such.... If you are post-op and would like to be an angel, please post.....and we will try and get you guys matched up. I would be happy to be an angel for someone, especially for one of Dr. Hornbostel's patients, since I live close to Sedalia.  Just let me know.

I read you post and it stuck in my mind not to lose it.  I thought I might make contact with you because I hope someday to need an angel.  I still have to do a six month diet which I start later this month when I see my family doc.  But I have been to Hornbostel's seminar and plan to use him for my surgeon.  Right now surgery seems like a far off dream but I know time will fly.  My psych eval is July 30th so things are falling into place.  I am 48 y/o living, with the exception of my weight, a happy life with my husband Sam.  I enjoy gardening and do so volunteer some since I do not work.  I used to work as a Registered Nurse.  Maybe we can take some time to get to know each other and if I ever get to the point where I do have surgery, I know I have someone toask to be my angel. I would love to have an angel once I get closer. I have an appointment with Dr. Hornbostel on the 25th and hopefully will know more then. From experience, does he make the surgury appointment then or do you go back several times? Can't wait to get the details!!

Hi Janet, I'm Lori from Columbia, IL which is a suburb of St. Louis.  I just sent in all my paperwork and it's being submitted to my ins.  So it's kind of early for me, but I would love an angel!  I'm going to DePaul with Dr. Scott or DeLaTorre.  Thanks!

Hello I also would love to have an angel, however, I am going to Tulsa with Dr. Gorospe.  I have many questions and looks at this time like my surgery will be mid August.  Thanks so much for putting this thread together, I personally need it.  Thanks!
