WLS and Lifting

My home now includes my beautiful almost 1 year pld grandson, who weighs about 21 pounds. I am his primary caregiver, but have several that can help me out some. How much weight were you allowed to lift and how soon after surgery?  Can anyone give me any advice, tips? What other problems might I encounter?

when i had surgery Dr. H said dont be lifting anything over 10 pounds for about 6 weeks. I didnt and have gotten along great.
